Panda Stirling
Hi, I think a already asked this question, anyway. I have an Acer Aspire V3 771, i want to know if i can disable the Nvidia card when i can't boot after installing. I can boot on OS X install without any flags, after installation, i get black screen so i can't disable nvidia card and only use Intel HD 3000. I don't have option and my bios and i thinking about flashing the bios but i read 'cause it's an UEFI, it was risky. But, i want to know if a can totaly disable nvidia card with an dsdt or delete some kext ? I have too Windows 7 so if i need to delete something on hdd, i can. Thank you, bye. Allan
If you use Clover bootloader, you can use this boot argument: nv_disable=1 Or if you use Chameleon, you can use this flag: SkipIntelGfx Or DSDT/SSDT edit: DSDT/SSDT: Disable dedicated GPU to extend battery life (Laptop-exclusive) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306441-disable-optimusnvidia-card-when-cant-boot-in-os-x/#findComment-2141050 Share on other sites
