New Hackintosh build with GTX 970?

Hello,

 

I'm planning to build a new gaming PC that should also be Hackintosh compatible.

I like vanilla builds, but if that means that I get only mainstream graphics, I'm willing to deal with some custom kexts etc (e.g. the nVidia web driver).

 

Currently, I have the following components planned:

- Xeon E3-1231 v3 (because it's only 50€ more and I get higher clock rate + Hyper-Threading, but lose the internal graphics) / Alternative was the i5 4460

- MSI GTX 970 4GB (most silent fans)

- Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H mainboard (should be one of the most compatible H97/Z97 boards) (ALC1150 sound and Intel 217 Ethernet)

 

Is this combination possible or will I have to deal with so many problems that I should choose other components?

Is having the iGPU useful (switching back to i5 CPU)?

When I don't have the iGPU and need the nVidia web drivers, will I be able to boot after the Yosemite installation?
