J03Y098
I have had a good run with my hackintosh but I need to go back to my old windows 8.1 version. I booted into the Mac installation and used disk utility to erase the Mac partition (I had installed a single partition, not dual boot) and selected MS-DOS (FAT) and clicked erase. When I went back into the windows installation, it says windows can not be installed on my hard drive and I need to make a partition for it. How can i do this? Please help, I am completely stumped.. fusion71au
@J03Y098, Try cleaning the hard drive with Diskpart from the Windows command prompt. If using a Windows DVD/install USB, pressing Shift + F10 at the first GUI screen opens the command prompt, then type the following commands followed be <Enter> after each line: diskpart list disk select disk X (where X=the disk number of the disk you want to clean) clean create partition primary Good Luck! 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304769-uninstalling-hackintosh/#findComment-2114908 Share on other sites
