fyrekrig
Is there a way to get the spinning wheel back during boot? Don't like the new progress bar. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303636-spinning-wheelprogress-bar/ Share on other sites
Allan
If you use Clover, follow this options: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=2656&view=findpost&p=40972 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303636-spinning-wheelprogress-bar/#findComment-2098825 Share on other sites
fyrekrig
I am using Chameleon! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303636-spinning-wheelprogress-bar/#findComment-2098849 Share on other sites
Allan
Hmmm. Try use this: <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>No</string> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303636-spinning-wheelprogress-bar/#findComment-2098915 Share on other sites
fyrekrig
Added strings to "org.chameleon.Boot.plist" No change. Have copied "org.chameleon.Boot.plist" from Mavericks (spinning wheel) to Yosemite/Extra folder. Still no luck. Where are these animation files (spinning wheel/progress bar) located? fyrekrig
Read this topic: can we get back the apple logo on boot? I have read through the post but have not found any solutions. I still have a HDD with Mavericks installed. Would it be possible to just copy the appropiate file(s) from the Mavericks installation into the Yosemite one? If so which file(s) would it be? Already tried to edit com.apple.Boot.plist but no luck. Allan
With Chameleon is a little hard to make this, i never see one tip. In Clover you can use Mavericks boot style in Yosemite. fyrekrig
Aren't these files apple native and not files in Extra folder? Someone suggested in post "can we get back the apple logo on boot?" boot with meter=0 boot-arg and you will get the spinner instead of the progress bar. but I don't know what file to edit. Apple native or Clover file in Extra folder? Allan
You misunderstood, and left me confused boot-args: Chameleon’s common bootflag Or, for Clover: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/Boot#Arguments These steps only works in Clover, not with Chameleon. Try add meter=0 in you config.plist. and test.
