Thought of suggesting this for a friend as his laptop got fried recently, and so I was wondering if this would be 'swell enough for a Yosemite system:

Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Haswell Processor - $130
MSI CSM-H81M-P32 Intel H81 Socket 1150 Motherboard - $60
MSI N650-MD1GD5/OC GeForce GTX 650 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - $72.99
Raidmax ATXA21WB ATX Mid Tower Case - $27.99
Coolmax 600W 140mm Smart Fan ATX Power Supply with single PCI-E - V-600 - $44.99
Patriot DDR3 4GB 1333MHz (1X4GB)Module (PSD34G133381) - $44.99
WD Desktop Mainstream 500GB Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit WDBH2D5000ENC-NRSN - $59.99

He usually buys his wares at Fry's in Indianapolis, and he's a bit on a tight budget, but any suggestions may do.

I, myself, like the 1155 socket, because incase I don't need a very strong cpu, just watch movies for example, i could grab a celeron cpu to make it run.

Go to socket 1150, it must go by core i3, almost $90 buck more. Dual to powermanagement at kernel on cpu.
