Does Hackintosh on MSI GE70 2OE-011NE (17.3 "Full HD") work?

Im a computer engineering student, who is on second year, who is not using alot of linux, and i find mac os really good for that. I cant afford to buy myself a mac, so i read about hackintosh.

I have one SSD and one HDD. The SSD is installed windows 8 OS.
But i want to could dual boot. Anyone who can recommand anything?

Is my PC compitable for hackintosh?

Can work very well. But GTX 765M is not supported in OS X.

I have one SSD and one HDD, my SSD is installed windows 8, and my HDD i use to store some movies and pictures.

Is there a way to install MAC OS on the HDD if i formate it? so i only have SSD for windows 8 and HDD for mac os? so i can do dual boot (choose between booting windows 8 or mac os)?

Do you think wifi etc will work?

Yes, u can use dual boot.

Dualboot Windows and OS X using Chameleon

Dualboot Windows and OS X using Clover UEFI

For this Killer E2200 you can use this kext: attachicon.gifALXEthernet For Killer E2200.zip

which of these 2 should i use? Will wifi work?

I was wondering, if i just erase my HDD, can i keep windows 8 on SSD and dont touch anything to it so it dont get bricked?

Cus i cant afford loosing any files / OS / documents on my SSD.

Does my PC have Integrated GPU (iGPU)

  • Intel HD 4400 (laptop only) /4600/5000/Iris on 4th Generation Intel Core i Processor ( Haswell ) ?

Which Mac OX shall i get? Yosemite?

Discrete GPU

Please note that laptops with AMD Switchable Graphics or nVidia Optimus with both Intel HD + AMD/nVidia card will only be able to use Intel HD, unless you have the option to turn off Intel HD in BIOS.

These GPUs are supported (the list may be incompleted or not correct at some points, please inform me about the GPU that works for you but not on the list or the one not works):

  • nVidia 7000 Series
  • nVidia 8000 Series
  • nVidia 9000 Series
  • nVidia GT 200 Series
  • nVidia GT 400 Series
  • nVidia GT 500 Series
  • nVidia GT 600 Series
  • nVidia GT 700 Series ( stay away from the GTX 750 and GTX 750Ti which use the new Maxwell architecture which hasn’t been confirmed working or not )
  • nVidia GTX Titan ( the Z version hasn’t been tested yet )
  • nVidia Quadro 4000
  • nVidia GT 520M, 540M and 630M ( laptop with discrete GPUs )
  • nVidia GTX 675M, 760M, 765M, 770M

I see that GTX 675M is listed here, does it means that i can deactivate Intel HD in BIOS so it only runs Nvidia GTX 675M?

Does my wifi work? I tried to read a file, that show support, but i didnt understand it or the language.

I dont got USB stick with 8GB , can i just burn it on a DVD?

Mavericks or Yosemite is better for you. Mavericks is more stable than Yosemite, but Yosemite is good too.

The GTX 675M don't work because Optimus technology. And for you have full QE/CI is needed disable Nvidia in BIOS or in ACPI file, e.g: DSD or SSDT.

For we know what or not will work you need some test.

Thank you, but if i disable nvidia in bios will it disable nvidia for windows 8 too?

Do you think my wifi will work?

Is there any option to test what driver work or not by using Virtual machine or something? to test if wifi , network, sound etc work? I am using it with VMware atm, and it seems that it use drivers from Windows.

I dont got any USB sticks, is it okay, to burn it on DVD and boot up with DVD?

If you disable in BIOS, yes, in Windows are disable too, but you can use SSDT/DSDT edit, and in this way will only be modified in OS X.

I don't use this model of WiFi, so i can't confirm for you.

About "test drive" you can use a USB HDD, or one HDD in eSata mode, and i recommend you use USB/HDD stick, because in DVD you can't edit files, add files after burn it.

Can i install OS on the usb stick and boot up with it?

Im on VMware now with mac os, and i cant test drivers, because it seems like it is using the internet from windows.

I got a Extern HDD, can i use that?
