nicksilverstein
What kernel to use with the Intel Atom N450? I am trying to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion. My netbook is the Acer Aspire One 532h. It has the Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz. The N450 is 64-bit. I know that because, I put Windows 7 64-bit on this netbook, And because on the Intel ARK website it says it is 64-bit. What kernel should I use? I would like to get Mountain Lion on this Computer. I don't care if the Graphics Card work. That is another project for me. kawatzaki
Hello there, I don't have the system you use nor the same CPU, but I have several kernels I've collected which you can try... Each of them is inside the "atom_support.zip" file, and I don't really remember which is which, but I can point out the following: "legacy_kernel" = nawcom Snow Leopard legacy kernel patched for AMD support, this may cause a Kernel Panic related to AppleACPIFamily.kext (Unable to find driver for this platform etc etc...) Let me know if it causes it please! "x4_kernel" = This is an AMD patcher kernel from AnVoodoo and I think that it includes the SSE3 Emulator from sinetek, it could work! Several other kernels are included, just place them in the root of the USB/Hardrive or install media, and type the name of each one (one at a time) to see which takes you further, kernel panics are going to happen, so please take a lot of pictures and make research on this forum...
