Hackmodford
Forget handoff and continuity... my bluetooth adapter is just plain not recognized anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? Are there known working bluetooth 4.0 adapters for Yosemite?
Hackmodford
nevermind, must have been a finicky connection. Is there a way to get handoff to work with it?
charliebounce
nevermind, must have been a finicky connection. Is there a way to get handoff to work with it? I have the same Bluetooth Adapter and it doesn't seem to be working. Is yours plugged into a USB3.0 or 2.0?
Hackmodford
I actually discovered that usb 3 stopped working. I updated the GenericUSBXHCI kext and it works now. So now that bluetooth is back on, it says handoff is not supported

Hackmodford
I'm not sure. Where you using the kext before in mavericks? and I'm sorry I can't find where I got the updated version. I know it was reply # 546 on this forum. It was the same kext, just resigned for yosemite. GenericUSBXHCI.kext.zip

charliebounce
I have a quad boot system with Ubuntu, Windows 8.1, Mavericks & Yosemite. Bluetooth works perfectly in all except Yosemite. I have no idea why. I have tried to use the USB2.0 port instead with the same result.

dudu_qc
@charliebounce: Do you use Clover in UEFI? I have the same board and my Bluetooth work well in a usb2 port. I use UEFI with default options in Bios except for : my ram, XMP profile, EHCI hand-off enable and boot option on UEFI first
