I brought the Wn823n wifi usb adapter its not recognising it. What do you think I did wrong so that wifi won't turn on? I tried opening the IO8... kext adding IONameMatch and the string 14e4 then patched using the download given. I also put the kext in Efi/Kexts/10.10 awell as S/L/E. Is there an airport patch I have to do? Its 14e4 device ID 4315. It worked in mavericks buy I'm not sure. I did the patch etc and now my laptop won't boot. It hangs. So Im not sure if the patch works.
