Jimmiegin
Hello insainlymac forum guys! This is my first post here. I have been trying and trying to get VMware running OS x. I am a complete novice and have never even used a mac! I have tried iATKOS_S3_V2 and Mavericks 10.9 and ML 10.8.3 and I keep getting the 'host disabled CPU' message. I have watched many tutorials, read many posts and spent 2 days trying and still I failed. My reasons are..... 1, I am trying to recover data. 2, it would be useful to have a mac OS. 3, I just want to try OS x. My friend had a MacBook air that she left on a heater!!! The logic board looks fine but for the de-soldered display connector and I have not yet powered up to test if the chipsets withstood the heat.the battery is dead (melted), the screen is ok and the keyboard is dead. Luckily the SSD was not touched and at the other end that did not get hot so should be fine. Getting mac running is beyond my knowledge so far, and I am personally a Windows user. I see many videos where guys get VMware up and running with OS x, I have unlocked VMware and it installs no problem but I just cant get the OS to boot. please please will someone help me with this source of repeated headaches and show me some alternative to the stream of misinformation! Any help you can give... or even a solution.... would be really very much appreciated Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300634-amd-a10-7700k-vmware-help-please/ Share on other sites
