I get this error saying that the cpu has been turned of by guest operating system and I need to restart or something like that. I restart it but says the same thing.

I tried it on Vm Workstation and I also tried it by restarting the computer and booting off a the iso on a dvd.

When I boot it off the dvd it loads the gray apple screen with the spinning thing on the bottom then it goes to a plain blue screen and stays there. The dvd isn't reading or any sign that it's doing something. Maybe it says to retart my computer because of the cpu but it doesn't show. Does anyone have any idea on how I can solve this?

what are your system specs?

Labtop

What kind of labtop are you using? I have problems with my inspiron 1150 with colour. And what kind of graphics, I'm assuming it's an Intel 828** onboard video (Unless it's a better model).

DVDs aren't really readable at the same speeds of a CD-ROM, so it will be slower. It can take awhile even natively for it to work. You'll see the {censored} rainbow busy cursor and then it will stay like that forawhile. If it doesn't do anything in more than 10 mintues then you might have a problem.

Plug in an external monitor, a VGA dongle or use the 2-wire trick: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?ac...ost&id=1522

Cool thanks for the fast responds and help. WHat was the reason I had to plug in another monitor or the paperclip?

your machines flux capacitor is out of whack...

heh I dunno the exact reason probably some techno mambo jambo just know every one with the chipset in a laptop has to do that...

I just upgraded the version (10.4.8) by doing a software update and it just keeps restarting once it goes to the gray screen with the apple logo it reboots 1 second later with no messages or anything. How do i fix this or rollback to the presvious version 10.4.7

You spent a lot of effort installing a patched version of OSX onto your PC. Never install any system software from Software Update because it probably needs to be patched first. There are patched 10.4.8 updaters available.

You are in for a reinstall.

Audio isn't working I searched the forum but no luck. Anyone have a solution?

  • 1 year later...
I guess this problem is still trying to get solved.

I am a newby, and I am wondering if somebody already solved this? I do find a lot of txt's for the AppleHDAPatcher, Bu they do not work. ( I am willing to install linux and create a file myself if I knew how.)

thanks in advance

Eric
