Derek12
I've followed the same tutorial as per DP1 (I don't know if it is still valid or not but well)... I have tried with the same Clover version listed there (his link is broken) and with the latest on Sourceforge When I boot to the USB installer it gets stuck to this screen but it isn't frozen, I can write on the screen and all and I tried -v -f kext-dev-mode=1) etc I tried searching but nothing (most people just updated from DP1) should I do the same (I'm in Mavericks)? PS: I did the same for DP1 and succeded now it doesn't Thank you. Derek12
Many thanks! I have read many Clover tutorials, in fact I've successfully installed DP1 out of the box just fine with Clover, but this DP2 seems to be different or something (I will try to rebuilt the USB drive and/or redownload it just in case). I've already edited the AMD5000Controller kext (but there isn't a AMDRadeonX3000 kext like in DP1 or Mavericks, may this have something to do or is my DP2 corrupted? Also I recall from the DP1 install that EFI/CLOVER/kexts had a 10.10 folder alongside previous versions. Now it goes up to 10.9 only WTF. I downloaded it from here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299526-i-cant-get-to-install-dp2/#findComment-2040647 Share on other sites

Derek12
Then I suppose my DP2 is damaged. I will download it again. The problem is that with the Clover downloaded from this tutorial but now the link is broken the 10.10 folder was created automatically and now with another link it doesn't (maybe I will PM the OP to correct it) so it seems that the Clover I have doesn't support Yosemite, I will try to Google more Update I left the computer sitting there and now a movable and animated spinning wheel appears on top of the verbose text but it doesn't seem to go beyond that and the computer doesn't show signs of activityMaybe I will scratch all this and stay with Mavericks until the final Yosemite is released Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299526-i-cant-get-to-install-dp2/#findComment-2040652 Share on other sites
Derek12
OK Followed another rutorial here and it's up and running and with all AMD kexts The only caveat is a kind of glitch that happens between the boot screen and the desktop, let's search and research :-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299526-i-cant-get-to-install-dp2/#findComment-2040702 Share on other sites
