waradmin
On both my Laptop and Desktop OS X system I have a problem where after standby the screen never seems to 'wake up'. The display will remain blank, and still in its 'standby' mode even though the system appears to have gone out of standby state (hard drives spin up, etc). (on the Desktop's LCD monitor the power button remains Orange and doesnt go back to Green) anyone else have this issue, if so, is there a fix? I tried searching and came up dry. -Steve
Rammjet
Most Hackintoshes have problems with sleep. Best to disable sleep on the computer and maybe just enable it on the monitor (Energy Saver in System Preferences). Try pressing the power button and see if that wakes it up. waradmin
Alright I will just go with turning sleep off. The power button doesnt do it either. Isnt great for laptop's because that means you need to leave it running when you transport it (or shut it off, but who does that). Oh well, not that much of a problem. Its been happening to me since I joined here way back when but never asked about it until now. Thanks for the quick reply Rammjet.
TopazBar
Mine didn't work at first. But after trying different combination of setting in BIOS ACPI, it worked. What I'm saying is that there is nothing wrong with OSX sleep function. Just that your system have to be able to support it.
