REQ: GMA950 ID 27ae

Hello, I decided to make a request to anyone that can help since I got nothing else to try.

I bought an HP 530, that has GMA950 ID 27ae.

So far, after weeks of reading, downloading kexts, patching and reinstalling Lion, I only managed to get full resolution using snow leopard's 10.6.8 kexts, but no QE/CI. Tried EFI string, replacing frame buffer, editing Lion DP 1 kexts by adding my id and installing them to my system, tried with boot flags, arch=i386, GraphicsEnabler=yes and no etc etc but nothing worked.

So please please! if somebody has any idea of how to enable QE/CI on this ID I'd be really really grateful.

Rest specs of the laptop, are 3GB ram instead of 1GB, 320GB hdd instead of 120, and Core 2 Duo @ 2.00Ghz instead of Dual Core @ 1.8Ghz.

Try applying meklort's "netbookinstaller" with only option general extensions...

Thanx for the tip I will try and post back when I get my laptop back from bad power jack replacement, but doesn't that apply to snow leopard?

Also I found another post, here but it's in italian which I don't understand and google translate doesn't help much, and the guy who posted the answer won't reply back.

I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable usually... Lots of people use their old 10.6 sound kexts and LAN kexts in lion...

Just got my laptop back. Tried fresh Lion install from iatkos distro but netbook installer didn't work neither with chameleon boot loader. It actually made it worse since it wouldn't boot after that at all, including safe mode.

really? you did boot with arch=i386 right? cause the GMA 950 kext is 32-bit.

Yeap, arch/GraphicsEnabler etc. Maybe I did something wrong I dunno. The netbook installer never asked me anything to be honest. It just said something about disk preparing, reboot, and never got it started again. I downloaded it from here . Keep in mind that I used all the stock kexts from the distro, and not the snow leopard's which at least gave me resolution.

      Hello,
am running sierra on a optiplex 780 with a pny gt 710. I followed a step by step guide here. My machine boots fine and actually shows that the pny 710 is recognized I have attached a link with proof. My issue is when I am doing anything that relates to video it artifacts and slows alot. I understand that this is a cheap graphics card but from what I read online it seems like the other hackintoshes dont have this issue with this card. I am wondering if you have had any similar problems or solutions to this. I  also have attached my config file. I asked around on reddit and they said this could be related to the qe/ci. I am pretty new at this so I don't know how to enable this. I have installed the web drivers for 10.12.6 and that hasnt changed anything.

I have a Mac Mini 2006 (upgraded) with Intel GMA950 graphics, running MLPostFactor 10.8.5.  It is connected to an ASUS VS197 LCD panel using DVI-D.  This is natively a 1366x768 panel that is recognized and works fine.

However, the other choices for resolution are 4:3 800x600 and 1024x768, and then the oddballs 832x624 and 1360x768.  None of these are useful as a low-resolution widescreen for gaming or watching DVD content.  Specifically I want to get access to 848x480 or 854x480, and also 1024x576.  SwitchResX makes these choices available, but it doesn't work with a "full screen" game, presumably because the game directly queries OSX Display to get a list of valid resolutions and SwitchResX is bypassing that system instead.

So the solution is obvious: buy a new computer pull the monitor's EDID data, hack it to enable new resolutions, and then tell OSX to use this custom EDID instead of the one retrieved from the monitor.

Following the steps of the EDID injection guide, here is where I am:

      * Retrieve EDID, DisplayVendorID etc from ioreg.
      00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 04 69 F2 19 24 94 00 00 31 16 01 03 80 29 17 78 EA F5 45 A4 55 50 9E 27 0F 50 54 BD EE 00 81 C0 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 66 21 56 AA 51 00 1E 30 46 8F 33 00 9A E6 10 00 00 1E 00 00 00 FD 00 32 4B 18 53 11 00 0A 20 20 20 20 20 20 00 00 00 FC 00 41 53 55 53 20 56 53 31 39 37 0A 20 20 00 00 00 FF 00 43 43 4C 4D 54 46 30 33 37 39 32 34 0A 00 F1 * Use an EDID editor to enable new 848x477 and 1024x576 resolutions.  (Verify with an online EDID tool, and compare to the previous version)
      00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 04 69 F2 19 24 94 00 00 31 16 01 03 80 29 17 78 EA F5 45 A4 55 50 9E 27 0F 50 54 BD EE 00 81 C0 4B C0 4B CA 4B CF 61 C0 61 CA 61 CF 01 01 66 21 56 AA 51 00 1E 30 46 8F 33 00 9A E6 10 00 00 1E 00 00 00 FD 00 32 4B 18 53 11 00 0A 20 20 20 20 20 20 00 00 00 FC 00 41 53 55 53 20 56 53 31 39 37 0A 20 20 00 00 00 FF 00 43 43 4C 4D 54 46 30 33 37 39 32 34 0A 00 47 * Create a new subfolder and plist within /System/Library/Overrides/Display/ containing the new EDID string and monitor name.
      * Reboot.

Now the problems begin.  Even though the plist file is being read (which I know because the Monitor Name has changed in Displays), the custom EDID is not being used.  When I dig into IORegExplorer I am able to come up with AAPL00,EDID string and it is the unmodified one read from the monitor.  I even tried a plug-and-unplug while OSX is running, and also tried to reset the SMC and NVRAM, but no dice.

Do I need to start digging into DSDT hacking?  Is the Intel driver pulling down EDID during boot and I need to override it somewhere else?  What am I missing here?

      Ciao a tutti,
      Avete consigli?
      Grazie mille

Hello, I've successfully installed macOS Sierra (10.12.5) on my Lenovo Thinkpad x220i (2011).
I followed the x220 mcdonnelltech guide which I had to remove AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle kext as it prevented the os from booting up. Everything is working fine except the brightness (which I fixed via the guide) and QE/CI is not working.
The dock is not transparent and images are failing to load in screensaver and I'm experiencing lags/delay in launchpad.
I'm using all of the stock Intel graphics kexts except AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle.

How do I enable full QE/CI acceleration in Intel HD 3̶0̶0̶0̶?
I believe that it could be achieved if I manage to get AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle working but, I absolutely have no idea how (It shows white apple logo with a loading bar that is stuck on 0%, verbose mode shows nothing related to the problem. ).
I also tried various patched Intel graphics kext which had no effects .
The problem may lie in the config.plist, dsdt or the bios setting.

      My Specs:
      Intel HD 3̶0̶0̶0̶ Graphics 384mb
      Vendor: Intel (0x08086)
      Device ID: 0x0116
      Revision ID: 0x0009
      Resolution: 1366 x 768
      Intel® Celeron® CPU 847 @ 1.10GHz
      smbios: MacBook Pro 8,1
clover: config.plist and dsdt are from the mcdonnelltech guide

Any help would be really appreciated!

Update: I do not have Intel he 3000, I have Intel HD instead. I will be trying to create my own working dsdt, thank you for the clarification.
