matt77303
Hi guys So i decided to try and move away from apps that create a installer and do it the vanilla way. Ive created my installer, installed mavericks, installed clover boot loader. ( used chameleon before as included with ##### ) Everything seemed to be working perfect, only kexts i needed in the clover folder where fakesmc and my network controller ( oh and voodoo audio.) However when i click sleep from the apple menu the system reboots, its doesn't sleep. It doesn't do this if i use ##### and then follow the instructions I've got for #####. So im guessing its summit to do with either using clover instead of chameleon or something I'm not installing using #####, but like i said id rather know why its doing it and sort it rather than go back to using #####/ #####. Clover version : v2k r2696 And its the Asus system in my sig Thanks for any help. Matt

Allan
to have sleep working correctly, your power management has to be correct. read this: Install Chameleon bootloader – speedstep and kexts (Legacy BIOS)
matt77303
So are you saying I'm better of going back to chameleon? Matt

matt77303
The same. When the system goes to sleep it reboots instead of sleeping. Matt
Allan
Fix your power management. And use Chameleon.
matt77303
So I won't be able to get sleep working with clover? Shame. Matt
Allan
You can try the Clover in legacy mode. First, you have the power management correctly. The USBs have to be working correctly. Because some devices, like a dondle Bluetooth, wirelles keyboard/mouse can disrupt.
matt77303
Thanks for your understanding so far. Could you point me to a beginners guide to sorting out powermanagment? I've only ever used solutions like ##### but I would like to learn how to do it myself. Matt.
