TooUglyForU
Hello there, after around a month's attempt and a lot of great help from the chatroom, I got my laptop up and running. However I would like to tune it as much as possible. At this moment, the CPU fan keeps running the whole time, which I think is attributed to speed step not running. I tried to make the SSDT file but I'm stuck. Anyway, below is some details: Asus M50VM Spec: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GS Chipset: Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset +ICH9M Hackintosh details: - Mavericks with myHack - Boot commands: USBBusFix=Yes npci=0x2000 -f dart=0 (?) - NullCPU removed / AppleIntelCPU patched Assistance needed: 1. DSDT&SSDT I have extracted DSDT and SSDT using AIDA64’s ACPI tool method. DSDT contains an error which I’m not sure how to fix There were 5 SSDT files extracted, not sure how to use it. On a side note, my CPU is always at max frequency, I wonder if setting the SSDT would fix it. 2. BIOS Uncertainties: Intel Virtualization Tech - Currently enabled Intel VT-d - Currently enabled DST-based thermal management - Currently enabled Work in Progress - SD Card not working Thanks in advance for your attention. 2ugly4u DSDT & SSDT.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297762-wip-asus-m50vm-dsdt-ssdt-help-needed/ Share on other sites
artur_pt
hello there it is DSDT.aml.zip must use smbios macbookpro5,1 set in chameleon p and c - states=yes don't need to patch appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext good hack 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297762-wip-asus-m50vm-dsdt-ssdt-help-needed/#findComment-2016234 Share on other sites
TooUglyForU
artur, Thank you so much for the quick response. 1. I believe I have already used the smbios of macbook pro 5.1, I'll double check again when I get back home. In "About this Mac", my CPU frequency is 2.13GHz, but I think my max frequency should be 2.4GHz, is it pure cosmetic which I can ignore, or I should modify some other settings? 2. P and C States, using Chameleon Wizard, it's "Generate P/G-States", right? 3. Should I reverse back the CPU power management or leave it as is for now? 4. If all above is done, I don't need SSDT? Thanks again!! 2ugly4u Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297762-wip-asus-m50vm-dsdt-ssdt-help-needed/#findComment-2016236 Share on other sites
