dreadkopp
Aloha Community, i run 10.9.2 with 10.9.0 system/sandbox rollback on my AMD build (Asus m4a88t-m, phenom II X4 945 undervolted @ 1,2V@3,3 ghz, Nvidia 460 gtx SE @ 900 mhz) It's nearly perfect. Got PoweerManagement to work for the Nvidia. All Hardware is working well (no PowerManagement or AMD yet... but since i Undervolted the CPU its still col and quiet) the problem is that i can't handle PNGs. when i try to take a screenshot i got an write-error. when i try to set a new icon to a app it's not possible, either it doesn't even save the picture or it turns out red/pink. tried various kernels. bsa_kernel v9 is not working for me. boot stops aufter graphics card arrived. i had a install running before, which hasn't got this problem. then i was making a usb installer with 10.9.0 from appstore and pandora app and updateted to 10.9.2 later. this time i first tried pandora which led to the problems. i tried myhack later, but still the problem. the original Installation becomes corrupt due to too much messing with kexts i think. console throws something like : "ImageIO kxImage Invalid Parameter" I hope someone could help me figure out what the problem is. greetings! phantomsniper773
Sorry, I don't have a solution. Just wanted to confirm that I have the same issue on the latest Sinetek kernel. I think it's a problem that affects the pre-Bulldozer CPUs which don't support some of the newer instruction sets. I don't think there's much that can be done, unless one of our brilliant kernel devs can figure it out. One thing that I think helped the issue a little was using Chameleon Wizard to update to the lastest version of the Chameleon bootloader. I don't know why that would make a difference, but before I had the version from myHack and it wouldn't let me save large screenshots (like my entire desktop). After updating the bootloader, I can now reliably take a screenshot of my whole desktop. theconnactic
I suggest you stay with 10.9 or 10.9.1: there's no sense updating to a deeply hacked system and expecting it to be anywhere near stable. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297718-unable-to-handle-pngs/#findComment-2015904 Share on other sites

dreadkopp
tried a fresh 10.9.0 install and various kernels (cannot get anv baa_kernel r9 to run) i can either not take a screenshot at all (write error it says) or they turn out pink. it's not just screenshot, it's everything which needs to handle pngs. 30.04.14 17:05:48,908 Dock[176]: ImageIO: ConvertBytes vImageConvert_AnyToAny error: 'kvImageInvalidParameter' 30.04.14 17:05:48,908 Dock[176]: ImageIO: PNG No IDATs written into file 30.04.14 17:10:54,866 Safari[292]: ImageIO: ConvertBytes vImageConvert_AnyToAny error: 'kvImageInvalidParameter' 30.04.14 17:10:54,866 Safari[292]: ImageIO: PNG No IDATs written into file 30.04.14 17:10:59,348 com.apple.WebKit.WebContent[303]: ImageIO: ConvertBytes vImageConvert_AnyToAny error: 'kvImageInvalidParameter' 30.04.14 17:10:59,348 com.apple.WebKit.WebContent[303]: ImageIO: PNG No IDATs written into file 30.04.14 17:11:13,066 com.apple.WebKit.WebContent[303]: ImageIO: ConvertBytes vImageConvert_AnyToAny error: 'kvImageInvalidParameter' 30.04.14 17:11:13,066 com.apple.WebKit.WebContent[303]: ImageIO: PNG No IDATs written into file 30.04.14 17:16:17,852 screencapture[318]: ImageIO: ConvertBytes vImageConvert_AnyToAny error: 'kvImageInvalidParameter' 30.04.14 17:16:17,852 screencapture[318]: ImageIO: PNG No IDATs written into file Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297718-unable-to-handle-pngs/#findComment-2016420 Share on other sites
