The Baron
Hi, I'm about to import my music hard drive into iTunes. Now, I may want to back this up at some point, so I was wondering if there's a way of storing the cover .jpg in the root of a particular album, so that iTunes will 'see' this when I import the album again. Sometimes when I click on a tune, it brings the cover straight up, but all there is in the dir is a Thumbs.db file from my Win days. Hope I've made myself reasonably clear? TIA, Andy

sandmanfvrga
No. Go to My Documents, then My Music, then Itunes. The files are in there, but totally cryptic. That is where the cover art is.
Takuro
I don't know how it works for songs downloaded from iTunes, but all of my MP3s have the album art embedded in the file itself. If I import album art directly from iTunes to a ripped MP3, the artwork is stored in a folder separately. However, if I do a "get info" of the song, cut the album art, and repaste it, the album art is embedded into the file itself rather than being stored in a folder. If you're working with .aac files, this could be a totally different story.
