edgarinc
I just installed 10.4.8 this morning on my iMac Core Duo. I repaired permissions and made sure everything was normal. The only problem is that my WPA Personal (not to be confused with WPA2 Personal) WiFi network does not work with Airport. When I log on to OS X it says that signal strength is 100% (which is oddly strange because it is normally around 75%). All browsers and web applications do not work with it. I can get a connection if I disable airport, enable airport, disable airport, and then enable it again. I followed the steps in this article: http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n304482 but they do not work. If the issue is not resolved I may very well have to go back to 10.4.7. Thanks for your help! -Edgar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29630-wpa-broken-on-1048-core-duo-imac/ Share on other sites
edgarinc
I fixed it!!! I deleted the WPA key from my keychain, deleted from Airport network settings, and then reentered it to Airport settings. Works like new!
