Has anyone ever considered creating a repository of Kext? And then having a program that can auto update them?

At the moment my machine has:

FakeSMC.kext

AppleHDA.kext (patched)

AppleIntelE1000e.kext

AtherosL1cEthernet.kext

Why not have a way to auto update these? Maybe even have an option to disable updates for specific ones?

Has anyone considered this?

Well, for AppleHDA, it can't be "updated" regularly since each is unique for each codec/mobo.  There'd have to be maintainers for each codec.  Besides, if you patch your AppleHDA via bootloader, there would be no need to patch the kext itself.

FakeSMC has a Github already, and can be updated along with HWSensors, so I don't think that's necessary.

afaik the Atheros Ethernet kext is working pretty fine, I don't see why it would need "updating"...
