zmax02013
Hi all, I'am struggling to get Maverick working completely. I used myHack installation method and tried several different kernel. I was able to boot into the system nearly always but the system only runs with one CPU at 800 mhz... Any ideas how to fix this? I'am starting with npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=yes -v flags like PCIRootUID=0/1, npci=0x3000 or arch=x86_64 (for a one of the kernels) did not help I'am running a working 10.7.2 since over a year and a snow leopard before. I gave up on mountain lion but want to be more patient with mavericks since I saw so much working builds. Hope someone has some ideas. Saw my CPU specs in the working builds already. theconnactic
It's difficult to help without your full signature specs and more info, like which kernel, if the performance is slow or it's just a wrong speed being displayed etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294322-mavericks-on-ma770-ud3-and-phenom-ii-x3/#findComment-1973228 Share on other sites
zmax02013
Hi, thanks for the response. I added the details in the signature. I did a fresh install yesterday: - installation worked fine using my hack mavericks from appstore and RC7 kernel release - replaced kernel on the installed system - removed AppleIntelCpuManagementkext (this was a suggestion from the help topic - first time I did this) - booted into the system using npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=yes -v - system came up but looked slowly only one CPU displayed in the activity monitor at 2,2ghz (without removing the kext it was at 800mhz) - installed sound and network (vodooHda v 2.7.3 and AppleRTL8169Ethernet-v2.0.6) --> network was working (did not test sound) - tested graphic performance with World of Warcraft --> rl bad at around 10 FPS in lowest details - installed corecrypto.kext --> no changes - installed VoodooTSCSyncAMD.kext and VoodooPState.kext and the CPU jumped back to 800mhz So I'am playing around installing kext files suggested in the help thread without knowing what I'am doing and how to fix it. Next I will try to make a fresh install and using RC7 kernel and the basics from the vanilla installation guide posted on this board (FakeSMC.kext and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext). I will try to keep the AppleIntelCpuManagementkext to see if it makes any difference. zmax02013
Hi, so fresh installation is running: - used again MyHAck method - used Bronya's RC7 kernel - only installed network drivers yet System seems to run on one CPU again and the CPU is not displayed correctly: the colours of the system are looking fine only the screenshots are looking this way... Graphic performance is again rly bad. the system itself looks smooth. Did not do any other changes and hoping for some tips Thanks 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294322-mavericks-on-ma770-ud3-and-phenom-ii-x3/#findComment-1973371 Share on other sites
zmax02013
Update: - added the efi string of my gtx570 to chameleon.boot.list - installed ATY_init - added my card to AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext Result: Graphics are still soooo slow in games 10FPS at lowest details... CPU still the same as before here I hope to get some feedback Installed Cuda drivers and will reboot now... Shaneee
Try using cpus=3 at boot to sort your CPU. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294322-mavericks-on-ma770-ud3-and-phenom-ii-x3/#findComment-1973409 Share on other sites

0sx324
I suggest you to use this kernel http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3649-kernel-os-x-mavericks-109-amd-20/ I think it's probably a kernel problem... zmax02013
so fresh installation and it looks like that 3 cpus are running @2,6ghz. They are not displayed in the original activity monitor but in an app I installed to check the load. vbetts
Silly question, but do you have QE/CI? Also have you've tried the latest from sinetek? https://github.com/sinetek/xnu/releases/tag/10.9.0_v4 Also what about injection?
