Bootstrap Posted October 10, 2006 Share Posted October 10, 2006 I have a dell 2405 on ATI x1600 DVI working, screen is fantastic with DVI running on OSX10.4.7. Get the Dell Same Phillips LCD in both, (don't get so tied up in dot pitch for LCD's) I've seen the complete insides of both LCD's sample Phillips LCD. The prohibitive price of a new 23" ACD is what kept me from getting one, personally. The image quality on the 2405, after setting up proper color profiles (apple color profile built in to monitor, and set on my haxintosh) and brightness / contrast, is great. I've only had the opportunity to work with the 23" ACD a few times, but IMO, the 2405 is just as good. My eyes cannot tell a difference, at least. amdsse3 Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 I absolutely hate and despise Dell products. They're cheap and use cheap parts etc etc. I bought the 2407WFP and I love it. Why? Because it received great reviews and the features and quality at the price can't be beat. The 2407 is manufactured by BENQ the 2007is made by LG. I have done the leg work and researched before buying. The 2407 is not a 6bit panel. Do yourself a favor and do a Google search for the Dell Forums. Spend some time in there and make an informed decision. Mac OSX looks stunning on my 2407. If I could remove the Dell Logo from the front bezel I'd be even happier.
