gg02
First of all, apologies if this is in the wrong location. I am new to this forum and am at my wits end trying to get my optical drive to work. When a friend of mine helped me build (read:he set up about 90% of the system) my system, everything was running like a champ. Lately, however, whenever I go to burn a cd/dvd or install software, the drive doesn't even recognize that a disc is in the tray. It makes a sound like its going to start reading it, and then nothing. I tried to reconnect the cables and everything seems in place properly. I just don't know what to do so I figured I'd turn to the forum to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. ANY help is greatly appreciated...thank you so much!
