zeamp
I've had this graphics card for quite some time, and it has always worked flawlessly out of the box. I'm currently on ML 10.8.5 as I type this. After installing Mavericks GM with MyHack (new partition, fresh install), the graphics are stuck at 1024x768 and are choppy/slow (no QE/CI). They were this way during installation, and afterwards remained the same. Are there some changes or alternative method to get well-known OOB budget cards functioning on Mavericks? I don't remember having to mess with NVIDIA-specific kexts since 10.5/10.6. This card has always "just works." Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. Here's the output from ML (working great). EVGA GeForce 210: Chipset Model: EVGA GeForce 210 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 1024 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0a65 Revision ID: 0x00a2 ROM Revision: 70.18.5F.00.10 Displays: ACER X203H: Resolution: 1600 x 900 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Display Serial Number: LFK080184220 Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported

Rampage Dev
To many on again and off again issues with this GPU... DSDT injection of the card might help.
theconnactic
Never had a single issue with it, be it with the DPs or the GM. I smell an operator error: is it a clean installation? If GE=Yes isn't working, do as Rampage says. Good luck! PS.: VGA is working...

The drivers have been buggy for a lot of users. 2 systems the same and the GPU would post on one and not the other using the same HDD! Been a strange issue. Since it is a cheap card not to much has been put into finding the real cause.
ameris_cyning
IIRC if you have a card that requires GE=Y then the only way you could boot is via safe mode if you don't have the flag The desktop doesn't even come up for those who don't use the flag
