theconnactic
Install Lion, 10.7.5. Search the Insanelymac forum for the AMD Development sub forum, and ask assistance on the pinned Help Topic. All the best!
Ralphless
Thanks! I'm checking it out now. Edit: Oh, another question. What are the basic things i need to run a mac? Like kernels or so?
genofloresaz
Edit: Oh, another question. What are the basic things i need to run a mac? Like kernels or so? The basics should be fine. If not, post back here.
Ralphless
I'm quite confused, sorry i'm a newbie. I already have a Mac OS X 10.7 Lion (11A511) .dmg file and I don't know where to start and what are the things i need to install this. genofloresaz
Are you running Windows? If so download a program called TransMac (Google is your friend) and burn the .dmg to a DVD
Ralphless
after burning it to a dvd do I boot it already and install it or do I prepare the kernel and the bootloader first?
theconnactic
Yes, you do need to install the boot loader and place the kernel at the root of your thumb drive. As I said before, ask for support at eight in the AMD forum. All the best!
Ralphless
Can my pc install Mountain Lion? or it's best to just install Lion? I've posted already on that section and no one seems to care. XD
genofloresaz
Can my pc install Mountain Lion? Your CPU is 64-bit capable, yes? If so, then Mountain Lion will run.
theconnactic
No it's not that simple: his GPU won't work at all because of a bug in the current AMD kernels for Mountain Lion. If someone has AMD and nVidia, s/he is limited to 10.7.5. All the best!
