Charlweed
My first hackintosh is installed with Mountain Lion, 10.8.2 (12C54), and I want to update the software via the App Store. I fear this will break my installation. Do you folks know what I would have do to update, and still be able to boot?
Gringo Vermelho
It depends on how your patches are implemented. Only you know that, there's no way for someone else to tell. If you have patched Apple-provided kernel extensions in /System/Library/Extensions it's highly likely that they will get replaced when updating, and you will lose functionality. Apple system updates never overwrite "Hackintosh-specific" files like for example the contents of /Extra or fakesmc.kext, or any other 3rd party kernel extension in /System/Library/Extensions.
