nyolc8
And you made a new topic for this... uhm... okay... Many of us updated to it with the same method, so I don't really see the reason for a new topic for this. redneck
I can only boot in safe mode after update D2 from app store. use every flag I can think of + myhack fix , champlist It must be a kext > cpu panic installed chameleon 2.2 2251 pkg > fixed panic. maverick DP2 boots up fine now. i remembered I had to do this once before with ML Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290153-updating-to-mavericks-dp2/#findComment-1927878 Share on other sites

coder_cotton
I've been running DP1 without issue using my DSDT/Extra/plist from ML, but after updating to DP2, it reboots me after loading kexts, seemingly when loading the video drivers. Attached is the last thing I see. I've tried npci=0x2000 and 0x3000 with -f, -x, and also tried copying the /S/L/E/NV*kexts from DP1 into my DP2 install (that I saw suggested..) to no avail. I also tried the latest chameleon r2251... Any idea what's causing the crash/reboot? I reinstalled DP1 over top with no issue, so I can work today, but want to try this upgrade again soon! I'm thinking about trying GraphicsEnabler=No next, thoughts? Maybe a newer MacPro in the SMBios ( I think I saw that suggested also)? coder_cotton
The Mac Pro 4,1 smbios seemed to have fixed it. I still can't use kernel cache, but that's an issue for another day Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290153-updating-to-mavericks-dp2/#findComment-1928322 Share on other sites
