Xpsycho
lol thanks but it's far from perfect, my old i7-3770K runs must more stable than this one. I installed 10.9 on this build yesterday and I am glad I used a spare hard drive.. I had KP everywhere with it. Bigger is not always better. Xpsycho
X79 systems aren't bad at all if you don't mind getting your hands dirty. they aren't an easy install like most icore systems. the X79 requires extra steps but the rewards are astronomical.
BALDY_MAN
x79 are easy to get going the is a lot of support for them here. make yourself a good boot usb boot drive again good support on how to do it here i just plug in my usb and can be installed with everything working in 30 minutes sound is the hardest thing to get to work (for me) so i used a M-Audio soundcard
bluenote56
Hi there. I’m quite new here but I would like to share my 10.9 working build.I think it's my best build till now (out of 5)Motherboard: Gigabyte GA Z77 UP4 TH (rev.1)Ram: Corsair Vengeance Black 32 GB (8 x 4) 1600 mhzCPU i5 2500k overclocked at 4.3 (I used ET6) even if I have only 3.43 shown in System ProfilerPSU: LC-POWER 850 WATT Arkangel 850W Bronze Gaming SeriesCooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612sGPU: ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II TOP overclocked (I enabled also the Intel HD 3000)PCI Cards: Syba SATA 3 SY-PEX40039 - Orico ORICO PFU3-2O2I + Orico 4 USB3 front panelMonitor: Benq EW2730VCase: Cooler Master Cosmos 1000BluRay Burner LG BH10LS38DVD Burner LG GH24NS90Audio: FiiO E10 + AKG K 141 MK IINearfield Studio Monitors: MAudio Studiophile AV 40Webcam: Logitech HD C310Keyboard & mouse: Logitech MK 710First boot HD: OCZ Vertex3 120 GB (OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4)Other HDs: 2 x WD Blue 500 GB (1 with win 8 64bit) - 1 x WD Green 2 GB (where I’m testing 10.9) - 2 x External USB3 WD Blue 1 GBI followed the guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/ then I had to fix lan and audio ( Lnx2Mac’s and 882) using Kext Wizard.I had also to fix the usual problem with mixed Z77 and Sandy Bridge Intel HD 3000 manually adding the id 0x01128086 in System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext/Contents/Info.plist and /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/Contents/Info.plist.Ok. Then I made a mess trying to import my account from the SDD from a Time machine backup and I had to install everything again.Everytime I used Kext Wizard to repair permissions. Now everything seems to work including maps, iMessage, App Store, etc.Only USB3 seems unstable and I think I’ll have to use GenericUSB Kext.I must say I could have success thanks to the guide and suggest I found here and maybe also for a little experience and, mostly for a great passion for hackintoshes. I do these things for the challenge (lol). Ciao
