retroz Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 As stated before due to the low wattage of the Intel new core 2, we should expect the CPU to overclock well and indeed it does. As you can see here, courtest of Toms hardware, Intel overclocked Core 2 vs AMD FX overclocked renders a full 2 hour move in one hour faster than AMD WOW. This would also translate to faster rendering times with Fincal Cut Pro as well as more AUDIO plug-ins (Software synths, virtual instruments) for audio work and more REAL TIME FX across the FCP Suite. In addition look for DP 5 to fly as well as Photoshop Suite running smooth even with Rosetta and faster when it becomes UB.
