As you can see here, courtest of Toms hardware, Intel overclocked Core 2 vs AMD FX overclocked renders a full 2 hour move in one hour faster than AMD WOW. This would also translate to faster rendering times with Fincal Cut Pro as well as more AUDIO plug-ins (Software synths, virtual instruments) for audio work and more REAL TIME FX across the FCP Suite. In addition look for DP 5 to fly as well as Photoshop Suite running smooth even with Rosetta and faster when it becomes UB.
