grasida
I am trying to install os 10.8 on a newly built computer. I've created a bootable usb installer using myhack and can boot, partition my drive and start the installation, but the installer crashes as soon as the installation begins. I can get an error log, but it's very long and I honestly can't make much sense of it. If there's one part I can identify as perhaps giving the most useful information it is: Exception type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Code: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000001 My system is a gigabyte z77-ud5h motherboard, intel i5 3550 using onboard graphics (I have a gigabyte geforce gtx 660, but it's not in use because the installer wouldn't boot). Any idea where I should start to get this working? Thanks!

grasida
Thanks for the replies. As it turned out, myhack wasn't working. After switching to something else, it was relatively smooth sailing. This is posted from my computer running 10.8.3 with everything apparently in working order!
