RandomMixTape Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Hi I'm running 10.6.8 and on every version of OSX the CPU speed scales down from 1.6GHz to 800MHz when the AC power cord is unplugged and running on battery. This was confirmed by GeekBench. I'm pretty sure this is to do with Intel SpeedStep but there's no option in the BIOS to disable it. VoodooPowerMini, VoodooBattery and NullCPUPowerManagement are installed but the problem still remains. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
