  1. In this Guide I will explain step by step how to install Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13.5 over an Acer Aspire E1-572-53GN. 1st: Get a copy of Niresh High Sierra on Hackintosh Zone Create an USB with the DMG file. You will get BOOTLOADER partion And High Sierra Installer partition Use Disk Utility to restore those partitions over an 16Gb USB Pen Drive Use this config.plist provided in this Tutorial and put in /EFI/CLOVER partition of your USB After create these USB with Niresh, boot your Laptop Install High Sierra. After installation boot with this Pen Drive Again and do in terminal this dd if=/dev/disk*s1 (your pen drive) of=/dev/disk0s1 bs=4m Reboot Load MacOS High Sierra from Clover You are done. Now you has an Acer Aspire with High Sierra 10.13 Apple Store Update 10.13.5 Let the system do it for you. Install Voodoohda 2.9.0 v12 My Acer Aspire I had changed the LCD with an 1920x1080p Full HD I´m using an WN725n V3 USB Wi-Fi Install the driver for Wi-fi from the TP-Link Web Site Now you are done! 2. Hello, After trying SO MANY times without success, I decided to seek help from my fellow OSX86 Community. I have an Acer Aspire E1-570G Laptop with these specs: - Intel Core i3-3217U @ 1,8GHz - HM77 - 8GB RAM DDR3L 1600MHz (Dual Channel) - Intel HD Graphics 4000 (ID=0166) and nVidia GeForce GT740M - 64-Bit Edition - 15,6" with 1366x768 resolution - Clover 3192 Bootloader. I've been trying to get OS X working but I keep running into various problems: - The common one is that Intel HD 4000 won't work, it's detected but 4MB VRAM. - The computer sometimes auto-reboot after reaching a certain level of boot process as shown here (for reference only) . That problem mostly happen when I check "Inject Intel" in clover GUI before booting.- It stuck if I use Chameleon with IGPEnabler=Yes and GraphicsEnabler=No - I also get "Still waiting for root device error sometimes, I solved this by using Generic USB 3.0 kext. What I tried: - Using different versions of OS X: 10.8.2 Retail DVD (bought it long time back), 10.9.5 downloaded from App Store and 10.10.2 - 10.10.3 all from App Store. - Using different versions of Clover, Chimera and Chameleon like Clover 2593, 3113, 3192 and latest; many versions of Chameleon including patched ones (2.1svn r1999 - r2000, something like that). - Using both UEFI Mode installation and Vanilla Installation (with Chameleon). - Using modded BIOS to be able to disable some parameters (not willing to change switchable graphics though, it's set to automatic; I once changed that value and run into a blank screen at start up on a HP Laptop). - Changing VRAM value in BIOS varying between 32MB and 512MB (below 32MB and above 512MB will cause problem). - Using different SMBIOS (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and the generic Mac Pro "3,1") - Using different IG-PlatformID (the 01660003 one was supposed to work, but it doesn't). What I didn't try: - Using DSDT to disable nvidia, I didn't because I can't find a DSDT for that GPU and I can't patch one myself. So my questions now are: - Can't my laptop be hackintoshed ? - Can someone patch a DSDT for me that disables GT740M ? Thank you in advance. hd4000.tiff
  3. Hi! Could anyone help me installing High Sierra on this system? I succesfully installed Sierra before on this system with help of Jake Lo (thanks!!), I just wondering if could High sierra possible to installed on this system? Boot stopped at this. I'll attach my Clover folder and a picture from boot. UEFI enabled, and for skylake I used IntelGraphicsDVMTfixup and IntelGraphicsFixup kexts. My bios is very limited and does not have any option to change dvmt prealloc or anything else. Everything works fine on Sierra. Here is my system: Acer Aspire V15 V5-591G-55TU (Note: Bootpack works fine with another versions of 591G, for example: V5-591G-71K2, -764Z, -59PU, etc.) Mobo: Skylake USOPP_SLS Bios: Insyde corp latest version CPU: Intel Core i5-6300HQ 2.30 GHz (Skylake) GPU: Geforce GTX 950M 2 GB (optimus, disabled), Intel HD 530 Ram: 8 GB DDR4 (4+4 GB) Wifi: Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA344A, Replaced to BCM94352Z Ethernet: Realtek 8168B/8111B Audio: ALC 255 (layout-3 fix) Card Reader: Realtek HDD: 1 TB Dual-boot with Windows 10 Any help appreciated! Not working: Original Wi-Fi: Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA344A unsupported, you need switch to BCM94352Z or just use a mini usb wifi dongle. NVIDIA GTX 950M: Optimus not supported. Card Reader: Unsupported For WiFi: You can choose an external USB wifi dongle (I used tp-link Archer T1U (5GHz support), Tp-link have official macOS drivers, you just need to install it (OR)Replace your M.2 Qualcomm Card with a compatible BCM94352Z card (you will have hand-off Bluetooth too), just install the kext I wrote above I'll attach my EFI folder for anyone who want to install High Sierra (acer_aspire_v5_591g_55tu_hs.zip). *REUPLOADED updated CLOVER folder, attached as "v5_591g_55tu_updated_CLOVER.zip" (uploaded to OSXLatitude forum, can't upload here). I'm using High Sierra in Dual-boot with Windows 8.1. To do this in a clean install or with Windows installed first try my little minimal guide: Dual-boot clean install (on one drive): 1. Boot into your Mac installer, Create 2 partitions in GUID table (1 for Win (I used FAT32 but I think it's no matter what), 1 for Mac), 2. Install Mac, boot with your USB, *mount your EFI partition (use terminal or an EFI mounter app), create an EFI folder, copy the CLOVER folder I attached to the EFI folder, restart, 3. Boot into your Win installer, Format the partition you created for Win, install. 4. Now, it's automatically booting into Windows. To use Clover open cmd in administrator, type: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi 5. You're done! It will booting into Clover when you start the system, and you can select Win or Mac (or another OS if installed on a 3rd partition). Dual-boot with Windows installed first (on one drive): If you already have Windows and you don't want to lose all your data there is a hope: You need bootable Mac Installer and a full system restore image (you can search for it). (You may see errors if your EFI partition is not 200 MB) 1. Boot into your Windows, resize your partition or create one for Mac. 2. Boot into your Mac installer and in Disk Utility format the partition you created. 3. Restore from image: select your full system restore image. 4. When it's finished restoring you just need to restart, then boot to the system with your usb. 5. Do Step 2. from "*" from clean install dual-boot above. but KEEP "Microsoft" FOLDER IN IT! 6. Do Step 4. from clean install dual-boot above. 7. You're done! You can select your old Windows and your new macOS! (I only tried with Windows 8/8.1/10. I don't know Windows 7,etc.) IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING MAC RESTORE: Make sure you have partitions in GPT The best version for restore method is Windows 8.1. It's using 200 MB EFI. Windows 10 using 100 MB EFI and will annoy the Mac restore. You can use with Windows 10, just ignore the errors IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING WINDOWS INSTALLATION (could not be formatted, etc): Make sure you have GPT partitions, and GPT installer IF YOU USED RESTORE METHOD THEN CAN'T MOUNT YOUR EFI PARTITION (No EFI partition found) It's because your EFI is not 200 MB or not an "Apple" original EFI, but do not worry, try another EFI mounter, or mount from terminal (I used EFI mounter v3: Getting errors, but you can mount and use without problem) You also could "mount" the EFI from windows, for that open cmd and type: diskpart list vol (Now select the "System" volume,(FAT 32) For example I select 4) sel vol 4 list part (Select System type partition, for example 2) sel part 2 assign letter=b (This will "mount" your EFI partition, to manage files download totalcmd or explorer++ (run as admin)) remove letter=b (This will "unmount" your EFI) Here is a video from dual-boot with Windows installed first (on one drive): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Q8uPkwcWQ Here some pictures:

  5. Hi! I'm facing a problem on my notebook. I have: Acer Aspire V 15 V5-591G-55TU Skylake-H PC-H i5-6300HQ - HD 530 - Skylake 4+4 GB DDR4 optimus GTX 950M (disabled) BRCM94352Z wifi Windows 8.1 & High Sierra 10.13.3 Natively sleep isn't working, there is a blank screen after sleep, so I used custom EDID Inject to get it working. Before sleep, everything is working fine, but after sleep, I couldn't open videos(on youtube or anywhere higher than 240p), pictures, FaceTime. This is a hardware decode problem, so I opened terminal and typed this: defaults write com.apple.coremedia hardwareVideoDecoder disable After this, Safari and video players could open HD or any videos after sleep, but Chrome not responding (Chrome forced hardware acceleration, and good after disabled that in advanced settings), FaceTime, Preview also not responding, and the pictures on hdd just loading too, nothing happens. Problem exist on all HS versions (13.0 - 13.3). On Sierra 10.12.6 this problem does not exists. Here I'll attach informations (ioreg, CLOVER, screenshot). Kext using at boot for skylake: Lilu, IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup, IntelGraphicsFixup. I'll appreciate any help. HDMI Audio HD 3000

Hello fellow hackintoshers! I've spent the better part of 48 hours getting my Aspire S3 ultrabook up and running with Yosemite 10.10.1. I have wifi working via USB, QE/CI on my HD 3000 and all that other good stuff. Audio is currently working with VoodooHDA, but I have a question: can VoodooHDA work with HDMI audio? I had a similar setuip with Mountain Lion on the same laptop and on both the video works perfectly over HDMI, but audio does not. I have the option to output with HDMI but when I choose it the volume greys out and it doesn't work. So, my question is actually a two-parter: 1.) Is it possible to get HDMI audio working with VoodooHDA (Yosemite)? If not, I guess using a patched AppleHDA is my only option. Which leads me to my second question... 2.) If I MUST use AppleHDA, what would be the easiest way of finding out my audio codec? I know I have a Realtek sound card, but there are so many options and I don't know which is which. I've googled this at length before and surprisingly could not find a straigtforward answer as to how to find the proper codec to install. Thanks for any help any of you might be able to provide!
  11. Hey guys & girls! I am using Acer Aspire One 522 ( sorry if wrong section, I think it's global ). Since I can't find the required kexts for my stuff ( AMD C-60/ATI Radeon 6290 Integrated ) I am planing to replace this cpu. I am using Mavericks 10.9.5. So the question: Could someone recommend APU with Integrated graphics chip which works @Mac OSX for this netbook? ( Kexts, natively, whatever ). Thanks in advance!
  12. Hi everybody! I need some help today: I’m trying to install Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5 on my friend’s laptop, which is an Acer Aspire 5250, but that’s quite a difficult task because it’s an AMD CPU. The model is AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (graphics model Radeon HD 6320). I need some help because I can’t boot the installer, when I select my USB from Clover, after the row of pluses in verbose mode instead of showing me all the booting commands it stucks on a black screen and the screen starts flickering along with a continuous beep sound and so I’m unable to get to the installer. Do I need a patched kernel or something else? Are you able to give me some help? Thanks!
  13. Acer Aspire M5-583P-XXXX using Clover This guide will remain a work in progress as long as updates are pushed out and kinks are ironed out. If you have the same laptop, feel free to share your input if something could be improved on. I will update this guide as best as I can for future updates, fixes, etc. Working: • Graphics - Intel HD 4400 via DSDT patch, FakePCIID method, and Clover injection • Touchscreen • Display Brightness - via RehabMan's SSDT patch and ACPIBacklight method • Built-in Camera • Airport • Sound - HDMI Audio, headphone, microphone, and function keys (vol +/vol -) are functional • HDMI port • Trackpad • Sleep/Wake up • Battery • All USB ports including the USB3 port in the back Let's get started! Things you will need before getting started include: • 8GB+ USB flash drive For the main installation of Clover and Yosemite • * Atheros AR5B95 WiFi card (no built-in bluetooth) The installed Intel WiFi + Bluetooth card will NOT work on OS X • A working installation of OS X (be it an actual Mac or Hackintosh) To set up all necessary files * I chose to install the Atheros AR5B95 WiFi card because I had a spare laptop that was not being used. I swapped the cards out based off of convenience. You can choose any Yosemite compatible WiFi card from this guide here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.html If you choose my route and you go with the Atheros AR5B95, the process of installing is as easy as plug n’ play. There’s no unlocking the BIOS or any of that. If you choose to go another route and choose a different WiFi card, please post your results and directions here. I will try to make this the one stop solution for this laptop. Preparing the OS X Yosemite USB Installer 1. You will need to download the Yosemite image from the App Store For this installation, we will be using the 10.10.4 version of Yosemite. 2. Once the Yosemite image has downloaded, it will appear in your Applications folder. Verify to make sure it’s there and the size (5.68 GB) is correct. 3. Launch Disk Utility and select your flash drive (make sure you’re selecting the overall drive, not a selected partition). • Go to the Partition tab • In the ‘Partition Layout:’ section, click ‘Current’ and select 2 Partitions • Still in the ‘Partition Layout’ section, select partition ‘UNTITLED 1’ • Moving to the right side, in the ‘Partition Information’ section, type CLOVER for the name • For the format, leave as MS-DOS (FAT) • For the size, enter 0.3 • Click the ‘Options…’ button and select GUID Partition Table • In the ‘Partition Layout:’ section, now select the ‘UNTITLED 2’ partition • Back to the right side, in the ‘Partition Information’ section, type YOSEMITE for the name • For the format, select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) • For the size, leave as is (values will be different here because of different flash drive sizes) • Click the ‘Options…’ button and select GUID Partition Table • Click the ‘Apply’ button to begin formatting You will see the process begin and your newly formatted partitions will be mounted automatically. • You can now close Disk Utility 4. Now it's time to download and run my OS X USB FD Configurator application. Download my OS X USB FD Configurator application here: https://github.com/delioroman/OS-X-Yosemite-on-Acer-Aspire-M5-583P-XXXX-using-Clover Screenshots: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT: In order for OS X USB FD Configurator to work properly, it must be placed in your user directory (~). An easy way to locate this folder is to: • Select Finder in the Dock • On the top menu bar click ‘Go’ • Then click ‘Go to Folder…’ Type in: ~ • Press Enter You will see a new window pop up with folders such as ‘Documents’, ‘Downloads’, and ‘Music’. You’re in the right folder. Extract the .zip file to that location alongside all of those folders. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I created OS X USB FD Configurator to automate the process for you. It will: • Configure the Clover EFI boot loader onto the CLOVER partition All patched files will be automatically installed onto the partition as well. • Install the ‘Install OS X Yosemite’ image onto the YOSEMITE partition. Follow the directions given to you by OS X USB FD Configurator. After my application is done, you will have a ready to be booted OS X Yosemite Installer. I wrote this application specifically for the Acer Aspire M5-583P-XXXX. Don’t use this for any other laptop, it may not boot properly. Installing OS X Yosemite Now it’s time to begin the installation process! Now that our USB drive is ready to be booted, we have to set some things up in the BIOS. 1. Boot the laptop and tap F2 until you are presented with the BIOS screen. • In the ‘Main’ tab, make sure ‘F12 Boot Menu’ is Enabled and ‘SATA Mode’ is set to AHCI Mode. • In the ‘Boot’ tab, make sure ‘Secure Boot:’ is set to Disabled. This will allow Clover to launch successfully. • Now, go to the ‘Exit’ tab and select Exit Saving Changes. The laptop will now reboot. 2. When the laptop reboots, be sure to tap on the F12 button until you’re presented with the ‘Boot Manager’ screen. Select the flash drive in which you've created. 3. When you select the USB drive, you will be presented with Clover. Select the partition ‘YOSEMITE’ and press Enter to begin the boot process! Be patient during the boot process. It may seem like it got stuck, but don’t worry, you will soon be presented with the OS X installer screen. When you are greeted with the Welcome screen of OS X, be sure to select your preferred language to use during the installation process. By the way, your touchscreen should be working! Give it a test run. 4. Now you’ll be presented with the OS X logo stating “To set up installation of OS X, click Continue” We’re not going to click Continue just yet. Go to ‘Utilities’ at the top and select Disk Utility. 5. Select your laptops internal hard drive (NOT the usb drive). • Select the Partition tab. • Make sure 1 Partition is selected • Name your drive whatever you wish (ex: Macintosh HD is the default name for all Mac primary partitions). • Make sure the Format is set to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) • Click the ‘Options…’ button and select GUID Partition Table and click ‘OK’. • Click the ‘Apply’ button to begin the format process. • Once formatting is complete, you can now close Disk Utility. 6. Now, we can press the ‘Continue’ button. From here to the end of installation it should be self explanatory for you. Follow the directions and be sure to select your newly formatted hard drive as your installation destination. Installation will take a while so go ahead and grab a bite to eat! Booting Yosemite for the very first time 1. Once installation is complete you will be prompted to restart your computer. Restart and tap the F12 button upon reboot. Select the USB flash drive and you will be prompted with Clover, once again. This time, you will see a new addition which is your new installation of Yosemite. Select that drive and press enter. You will now boot Yosemite from your hard drive for the first time! 2. Once your OS X has fully booted, follow the remaining directions to set up your new ‘Mac’. After you have finished, you will then be presented with the Yosemite desktop. I’m sure you’re pretty excited at this point. We only have a couple more things to do to finalize our installation. Post Installation 1. Now it's time to format our EFI partition. Go to: Applications/Utilities/Terminal (a Spotlight search will work too) Type in: diskutil This will list ALL drives and partitions recognized by OS X. In here we will be looking for our ‘EFI’ partition. It will be located under the ‘IDENTIFIER’ section. Be absolutely sure you select the correct partition. * For example, let's say EFI was disk0s2 Now copy/paste or type in the following in Terminal: sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI -F 32 /dev/rdisk0s2 Press Enter and wait till Terminal completes. 2. It's now time to run my OS X Post Installation Configurator package to finalize the installation. Download my OS X Post Installation Configurator package here: https://github.com/delioroman/OS-X-Yosemite-on-Acer-Aspire-M5-583P-XXXX-using-Clover My package installer installs the following: • patched EFI folder • Clover Configurator • Kext Utility My post installer will install ALL necessary files to get Graphics, Network, Sound, etc, working. DSDT and SSDT patches will also be installed as well. Reconfiguring the BIOS The very last step is to set the BIOS back up. I don't believe this step is absolutely necessary. I did it just for piece of mind. If your laptop boots the main HD with Clover, with no problems, then you're good to go. If you still wish to continue, you're more than welcome. In this step we will point BIOS to the BOOTX64.efi file. This will add Clover as a trusted executable. Reboot the laptop and tap F2 Go to the 'Security' tab Select 'Set Supervisor Password' and set a password you will not forget. Keep it simple. A 4-digit password will be more than enough. Now select 'Select a UEFI file as trusted for executing' and press Enter Navigate to the BOOTX64.efi file in the EFI partition Go to the 'Exit' tab and select Exit Saving Changes Congrats! You are done!
  14. Inception After my experience with iAtkos s3 v2 and Acer Aspire One D150 i decided to write a guide can help someone. Hardware Config: This is the hardware configuration of my Acer Aspire One D150-1Bb. It's very important check the components. CPU: Intel Atom N270 @ 1,6Ghz 32-bit RAM: Corsair 2Gb Video: Display Intel 945GSE Wireless: Broadcom4312 Ethernet: Atheros AR8121 Whats is necessary 1. USB Pen 8Gb 2. Ethernet Network 3. An other Hackintosh o Mac 4. Many patience. Pre-Install: Boot from USB After you download the iAtkos s3 v2 (Snow Leopard 10.6.3) ISO you can restore it on USB at least 8Gb. You can do it with another Mac or Hackintosh, or if you have external DvD reader, you can create a DvD to boot. Restore the ISO of iAtkos with Utility Disk and then you must install the bootloader. The only one that works for me it was Chameleon v2 RC4. Pay attention where you install the bootloader! Chameleon 2.0 RC4.zip After that the iAtkos is ready to install. Installation The BIOS Put the USB before start the PC. On Start push F2 to access to BIOS where we need to set the Hard Disk in SATA Mode. So, from "Information" tab slide to "Main" tab and scroll down to "SATA Mode". Set it on "AHCI". After that slide to "Boot" tab and scroll down to USB HDD, pushing F6 take the usb on the first place. Now save all with F10 and Yes. The USB will boot. The Installer I don't write flag on boot for the installation, if you have some problems you can try with verbose (-v). During the installation the trackpad will not work, but the keyboard yes, so you can use a USB Mouse (mine is a wireless mouse, so i suppose they works). With Utility Disk create the partition e go on with the installation. When you select the partition where you want install iAtkos, go on Customization (button on bottom left - I'm Italian, so my label is different). You need to install: Bootloader: Chameleon v2 RC4 (the others bootloader gives to me only problems) Bootloader Options: GraphicsEnabler, USBFix Patches: /Extra directory, fakesmc, Disabler, RTC, Modified Kernels -> Intel Atom, USB, UUID Main Hardware: SATA/IDE: AHCI SATA, Intel SATA/IDE Audio: Voodoo Audio PS/2: Voodoo PS/2 CPU Power Management: select all Laptop Hardware: Battery, Card Reader, TSC Sync VGA: Intel (select the first three voice) Network: Wireless: don't select anything. Bcm4312 card gives to me some problem during the first boot, so we will install it after. Wired: Atheros (Select all) Now you can install iAtkos s3 v2. Post-Install: il primo avvio Try one first boot without flag on boot, if you can't start try with these: -v -f npci=0x2000 arch=i386 cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No(o Yes) Follow the first boot and the configuration of your account and now download all necessary files for setting up the aspire one, because after that you can have some USB problems. Now reboot. Because the CPU is an Intel Atom we need to use a modified kernel. You can find here ( here the original post) the atom kernel of Snow Leopard 10.6.8 . More or less i followed the post step by step, skipping some step about SL 10.6.7. IT'S VERY IMPORTANT do a backup of the kext IOUSBFamily.kext e IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext that are necessary to work the USB after the update, that replaces this files. What you have to do: 1. Download and unzip the kernel on Desktop 2. Start Terminal.app and write this sudo -s mv ~/Desktop/mach_kernel_atom / cd ~/Desktop mkdir backup cd /S*/L*/E* cp -R AppleHDA.kext ~/Desktop/backup/ cp -R IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext ~/Desktop/backup/ cp -R IOUSBFamily.kext ~/Desktop/backup/ Now you can start the update ONLY FROM COMBO UPDATE (you can find here). IT'S VERY IMPORTANT that, when update finish: NOT reboot. 3. Back on Terminal and write cd /S*/L*/E* rm -Rf AppleIntelGMA950.kext rm -Rf AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext rm -Rf AppleHDA.kext cp -R ~/Desktop/backup/* ./ 4. Delete SleepEnabler.kext On my installation the "Extra" folder was hidden, so with ShowHiddenFiles.app you need to show it. ShowHiddenFiles.zip Delete SleepEnabler.kext from /Extra/Extensions*. *(If you don't find SleepEnabler.kext on /Extra/Extensions search it on /Sistema/Libreria/Extensions) What you need to do if you forget to delete SleepEnabler.kext 5. Restore USB kext We put "backups" folder on S/L/E (/System/Library/Extensions) folder so copy IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext and paste it on /S/L/E. If you not have a backup there is mine: USB Fix 10.6.8.zip Repair permissions with KextUtility. 6. Edit kernel on boot.plist On my Extra folder i don't have any org.chameleon.boot.plist, so i edit com.apple.boot.plist on /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. Copy the file and past it on Desktop, then open it with TextEdit.app, changing: <key>Kernel</key> <string>custom</string> to <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel_atom</string> PAY ATTENTION about you write. For a wrong word the system doesn't boot Check that the value <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> is in the file. Now save and copy com.apple.boot.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration replacing the older. [if you want you can copy it also on /Extra] If you want: You can create org.chameleon.boot.plist copying the text of com.apple.boot.plist and you can create the smbios.plist file with Chameleon Wizard to put it on /Extra. 6. Now you can reboot. First boot after Update to 10.6.8 Now we not have any VGA driver, so: 1. from the backup folder restore the AppleHDA.kext on /System/Library/Extensions. 2. unzip the VGA drivers: 3438-GMA950 for 10.zip and put all files on /S/L/E/. 3. Repair the permissions with KextUtility.app 4. Reboot. Wireless 1. From SLE copy IONetworkingFamily.kext and past it on Desktop. 2. Now put it on /Extra/Extensions. (Don't skip the copy on Desktop or you can have permissions problem) 3. Unzip the driver Broadcom Broadcom43XXFamily.kext.zip and put it on /Extra/Extensions 4. Repair permissions 5. Reboot Issues Trackpad: After the repair of USB and reboot the trackpad doesn't works, so i fixed it with this pkg VoodooPS2Controller.pkg.zip USB recognized by System Information but not mounted: You need to restore IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext (at the end of topic) and IOUSBFamily.kext, both of kext. At the time all seems works! Credits A special thanks to carbo178, which helped me to solve all the problems after installation and without whom I would have (most likely) trashed my netbook Files Chameleon 2.0 RC4.zip ShowHiddenFiles.zip USB Fix 10.6.8.zip Kernel Atom qui (Original post qui) 3438-GMA950 for 10.zip Broadcom43XXFamily.kext.zip VoodooPS2Controller.pkg.zip

  16. Hello all, After 2 days of experimenting, I finally have Mac OSX Lion 1.7.2 working on my Acer Aspire. Everything works perfectly, from the battery driver to the sounds, and from the touchpad to the keyboard. Except: the grahpics. I can boot with every resolution with the "Graphics Mode""="1600x900x32" boot line, but the system only recognises 5 MB of my 1GB video memory. Just because of that little fact it's almost impossible to work with the setup. Even the OSX line screensaver laggs like hell. Also, when I don't put a Graphics Mode option, I only get the 1024x768 resolution in the display settings, and when I do set the mode, I get only my entered mode. So, I need some help of you guys. I really would like to get the correct drivers for this system. when I use hardware information software like CPU-Z or HardwareMonitor on my windows os, I get "AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series". I just can't find the exact type. I really, really hope someone can guide me into the right direction, as I'm thrilled to get started with Lion! Thanks all in advance, and hoping for an answer, Basaa

  22. Pre-requistites: 1) Mac OS X Mountain Lion Install App from app store 2) MyHack (other tools may also be used) 3) Required Kexts [included in the package] 4) An 8 GB or higher USB Flash Drive 5) A (Mac/Hack)intosh installation (preferably Lion) 6) Some time 7) And Ofcourse an Acer Aspire e1-571 Processor : Core i3/i5/i7 Graphics Card : Intel HD3000/HD4000 Audio Card : ALC271x Trackpad : ElanTech What's Working: 1) The CPU Ofcourse 2) The Graphics Cards with full QE/CI 3) Sound works perfectly including mic 4) The ElanTech Trackpad works with multitouch gestures. What's Not Working: 1) Wifi (Card must be replaced ) 2) Broadcomm Ethernet 3) SD Card Reader Procedure: 1) Open up Disk Utility and Partition the Intallation USB Flash drive with GUID Partition and Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) …. Name it USB[this is important] . 2) Open up MyHack and let it do it's magic....the process will take about 10 – 20 mins. Drop the E1-571 folder that I uploaded into the installation media. 3) Make sure the Installer Flash drive is named USB and is mounted...Open up terminal and type: “ cd /Volumes/USB/System/Library/Extensions” 4) Then type in: “sudo mkdir Temp” 5) Then : “sudo mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* Temp” 6) Now exit the terminal and reboot into the installation media and install OS X. 7) Once the installation is complete reboot into the installation media but this time select the partition where you installed OS X and boot with the boot flag -v. 8) Please be patient as removal of AppleIntelSNBFramebuffer.kext earlier will cause system to wait for it and he booting may take upto 8 – 10 mins. 9) Set up the OS X as normal and once you get to the Desktop open up the installation media and open kext wizard and install all the kexts in the folder that I uploaded (Make sure to remove VoodooPS2.kext and AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext). 12) Use Chameleon Wizard to install Chameleon with the option boot0hfs. 11) Reboot and enjoy... Files: These are the required files. MyHack can be downloaded from the site Btw if anything doesn't work please let me know... Cheers @k@tsuk!777
  23. Update 3 audio fix http://www.mediafire.com/?co2ie1cxas7827o remove applehda before installing package Update 2 File upload for starters while I have a moment, I will add a noob friendly tutorial when I have more time, thanks for the patience This package is for the 771 I will upload the 571 soon http://www.mediafire...xkwfj6vpdp6zchj Update 1 I'm trying to get all the packages together to upload, this is the method of Install that I used, get a hold of this and unless you have a working mac, transmac will be needed to modify a few files, I used transmac. Prior to doing this the hard drive is a 4k sector drive so I will add the boot1h file you will need to put on the root of the installer to copy over to make boot work after install. Lastly I will be creating a restore for people who don't want to put in the effort, when it's completed for both laptops ill let everyone know and you can pm me for the link. Sorry for the delays been busy, just finished getting my wife's Acer v3 571 up and running perfectly as well, I will update you all here, both packages and guides on what I have done. Thanks J Hello everyone, after lots of work, I have got this laptop under wraps, everything working 100% I am going to upload all the files i used and modified and the dsdt i have created in case anyone else needs help. I will edit this and add the tutorial here asap thanks, J

  25. Hello everyone, Here's my guide on how to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on an Acer Aspire X3400. You can also find it on InfiniteMac, OSx86.net, and Acert0sh, my website for it. Before you begin, you'll need: A retail Snow Leopard .dmg A flash drive with at least 8 GB of space A working Mac (whether it be another Hackintosh or a Virtual Machine) A nawcom modCD Any Linux LiveCD Also, before you begin, make sure you have these files on a CD or DVD: IOUSBFamily.kext Kext Utility Chameleon Bootloader /Extra folder Legacy Kernel for OS X 10.6.0 OS X Driver for Ralink RT3090 The Chameleon Bootloader, /Extra folder, and the Legacy Kernel can be found in the guide below. 1. Follow this guide: Phil Tesone Dot Com » Hackintosh Note: If your Acer PC is instantly rebooting at or after the "DSMOS has Arrived" stage, and you recently installed a graphics card in the PCI-E x16 slot, I've found it to be extremely helpful to simply remove it while booting the installer. However, if you have a graphics card that does work with the installer, please report back here and post your graphics card model, just so we can save some users some headache. 2. When you're done following his guide, don't boot from the flash drive. Boot from your nawcom modCD with the following parameters: cpus=4 busratio=16 arch=i386 -force64 3. When you're inside OS X successfully, swap your modCD with the CD with all your files in it. 4. Copy the /Extra folder to the root of your hard drive, and install Chameleon. 4a. Delete the dsdt.aml file within /Extra, because for our motherboard's sakes, we don't need it. 4b. Open up the com.apple.Boot.plist inside /Extra and edit the <string> under Kernel Flags with the same parameters you used to boot up, minus the "-v" parameter. 4c. OPTIONAL: If you don't want to see the Chameleon boot screen, you can add the following code to boot straight into the Apple logo: <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>Yes</string> I highly recommend setting a Timeout period, just in case anything bad happens down the road and you need to troubleshoot. 5. Install the legacy_kernel from Phil Tesone's website. 6. Install the IOUSBFamily.kext so you can ditch the CD, and the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext located in /Extra/system for sound. You can do this by copying both to /System/Library/Extensions. Shortly after you do, though, there will be an error message saying that they were not installed correctly, and thus cannot be used. Do not fret, we're about to fix that. Enter the following code into the Terminal: cd /System/Library sudo chmod -R 755 Extensions sudo chown -R root:wheel Extensions sudo touch Extensions 7. Now, boot into your Linux LiveCD. Connect to wifi and download this. 8. Once downloaded, write it to your Snow Leopard partition using this: sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/sda2 bs=4096 FYI, replace "boot1h" with wherever you saved it. When you've typed "sudo dd if=", you should be able to drag and drop your file into the Terminal. 9. You should now be able to ditch the modCD and boot straight from your hard drive. 10. Install the Ralink Wireless Utility you should have grabbed from the Materials section. Personally, I had it on the data CD that I created when I started the installation process, but since USB should now be functional at this point, you can transfer the utility from either USB or CD. After you have wifi working, update to the latest version of Snow Leopard by grabbing this. Don't restart when it tells you to, because you have to first install this. After the 10.6.8 update, your "About Mac" should show your AMD Athlon II X4 645 as an Intel Core i5 and it should also show your RAM. At this point, your Mac App Store may not be letting you sign in, so here's how to fix it: 1. Create a new location in your network preferences by going to System Preferences > Network. 2. Remove all network interfaces by selecting them and clicking the minus button. 3. Delete /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist 4. Reboot your Hackintosh and add back Ethernet and Ethernet Adapter (en1) to your network preferences. Quicktime Player may also be presenting some troubles whenever you try to start it up. The fix is simple: Open your Applications folder, right click on Quicktime Player, click "Get Info", and enable "Open in 32-bit mode". You can use this fix for other problematic applications that have this option. After following this guide, you should have a relatively functioning Hackintosh with the following limitations: No QE/CI, which would majorly hinder applications like iWork, iLife, and Preview. Flash content like Youtube is also affected. No front I/O panel (Media Expansion Bay) After updating my bootloader to the latest SVN, I've found that the lower 2 USB ports on the media expansion bay now function! Hopefully the Chameleon devs will add support for the rest... No Boot Camp To remedy the QE/CI issue, you'll need to purchase a separate video card. I personally picked the ATI Radeon HD 5450, but you can take your pick after reading through this and watching this video. Like reviewerashley said, make sure you buy a low profile card when shopping for one. Anything other than that will not fit in the small space that the PCI-E x16 slot is allocated. Thanks for following my guide, everyone! If you have any problems, or just want to comment, please post all your thoughts in this thread. Thanks to Phil Tesone for the installation guide in part one, and everyone on IRC who made this possible. Check out the guide's website for more comprehensive, and in some cases, more up-to-date information on installing Mac OS X on your Acer PC!
