DrewDigity
I installed OSX using Myzars 10.4.6 install DVD and need to keep it in to successfully boot into OSX. If I take the disk out I get the message press F1 to reboot, Strike F2 for the System Setup Utility. My hard drive is in the boot sequence but I currently have my DVD drive booting before it. When I do change the boot sequence so the hard drive boots first I get the same message. I've looked at a tutorial about making sure that my MAC partition is active but when I use the commands I am told the command is recognized or something like that. xtreme571
Are you using SATA hard drive?
Rammjet
Yes, you need to set your OSX partition "active". Use any Windows or Linux disk/partition utility or use Fdisk built into OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844
sandmanfvrga
Yep, set it to active like said above. Easiest thing, search the net for a boot floppy and put fdisk on there and use that. That is what I did with my hackintosh, OR if you have windows 98 full cd, boot from that and boot with cd drives and run fdisk from that.
