prcmelo Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Greetings to all! Recently I changed my processor for an i7-2600 (Sandy Bridge). I'm using an SSDT generated by Revogirl SSDT Script, but if I leave, in my mobo, EIST FUNCTION enabled it gives me a Kernel Panic. Anyone else have this kind of situation? If, yes, how can I fix that? Maybe a bad SSDT that I'm using? With my old CPU, an i5-2500, it was not necessary, I mean, EIST FUNCTION was always enabled. The question is, leaving EIST FUNCTION disabled on the motherboard, I'm endangering the life of my i7 2600 or some component else? Specifications from my Hack are in my signature. Thank you!!! DSDT, (using EVEREST) and SSDT, (using Revo Girl Scriipt), are new... using iMac3,1 or iMac12,2 as SMBIOS gives me the same KP... if I want to boot with EIST FUNCTION enabled, I have to set DropDSDT=NO at Chameleon... Do you think I need to remake it again, maybe using another tools/apps? Slice Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 I like to recommend Clover as a bootloader with all needed patchings. And I think the CPU i7-2600 is quite good for OSX and should work with full EIST. iMac12,2 will be appropriate model. I redid the DSDT and SSDT from scratch, (again, for the 3rd time!!!), and now, everything works normally with EIST enabled!
