Hey guys im a noob here and trying to figure everything out. I want to dual boot windows and mac os and run it on my phillips hdtv and the sound throught my onkyo surround. Is this even possible? my hdtv has a hdmi connector in it and i have an optical and coaux on my surround. if this is possible can you guys give me some possible configurations? i want to make a system that has as little problems as possible and can run most mac stuff. i want to basically run it as a normal mac and just boot into xp to game. id like a pretty decently fast system as well. let me know what u guys think. Thanks i really appreciate it

I've never heard of anyone doing that, but i guess it is possible. you woudl have to find a graphics card that outputs HDMI, which im pretty sure doesn't exist. there might be a way to do compenent video from a card if you have that. That would be one killer setup.

EDIT// check google, it looks like there are adapters for DVI to HDMI. My Mobo came with optical out sound, so idk, im sure you can find soemthing that will work.

There are HDMI cards out now but whether or not they are compatible with OsX is yet to be seen. I have had my PC and my G4 hooked up through DVI to my Hitachi Hdtv a number of times but I've never tried my Hackintosh, I would assume it would work just as well though.
