Ritter77
Hello, I've a PC with AMD processor and when I try to run mac os x 10.8 on vmware workstation I get the following error: The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. Power off or reset the virtual machine. After that, I tried installing the mac on my laptop which has intel i5 (windows 7 64 bit) processor and it worked fine and I didn't encouter that error at all. I want now to install it on my pc. I've also tried version 10.6 and the same error came up. I searched the internet and tried some of the easy solutions but none worked. And some solutions were complicated and I didn't understand them. My pc specs are as follows: processor: AMD Phenom™ II X3 720 -- 3.42 GHz Memory: 4GB Windows 7 64-bit Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285963-need-help-installing-mac-os-x-on-amd-windows-7/ Share on other sites
sebus
Mac does NOT support AMD so you would need to find a release with hacked kernel If something seems too complicated, then maybe the task is not for you? Also this section is for virtualization, so please post in a correct section Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285963-need-help-installing-mac-os-x-on-amd-windows-7/#findComment-1884484 Share on other sites
