775i945GZ Sleep Works But Odd Behavior, Long Wake

6 posts in this topic

Setup:

• Retail Mountain Lion 10.8.2

• ASRock 775i945GZ

• Intel Core 2 Duo E4700

• Sapphire AMD HD 5750 1Gb

• 4 GB Ram

DSDT:

• Patched TMR, PIC, RTC, HPET, PWRB, _WAK, USB

• Renamed TMR, PIC, COPR, USB0, USB1, USB2, USB3, EUSB to TIMR, IPIC, MATH, UHC1, UHC2, UHC3, UHC4, EHC1

• Added SBUS device

Working:

• Audio - ALC888 with DSDT patch & patched AppleHDA.kext

• Video - Full QE/CI/Resolution by adding device id to ATI5000Controller.kext & AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext and DSDT patch (for 10.8.2 had to roll back to 10.8.0 ATI5000Controller.kext)

• Ethernet - Added AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext to IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins/ and DSDT patch for built-in

Kinda Working:

• Sleep - Sleep works, but the fans remain running for about 30 seconds and then turn off (system is asleep). When system wakes (by keyboard key or mouse click) it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the monitor to wake up and for the USB devices to get power (USB device used to wake has power, others don't). Sometimes sleeping the system a second time does not work and results in black screen with fans still running. Additionally, I have to patch AppleRTC.kext to prevent a CMOS reset when waking from sleep.

I have attached my DSDT.

Booting from a USB drive didn't work for me either. I used a laptop SATA drive to create an installer and mounted it internally on the SATA bus. That booted just fine.

      Hi, there
My desktop hackintosh cannot enter the Sleep Mode.
I mean it can enter the sleep mode for a few seconds and it will automatically wake up itself.
How can I fix this issue.
      Thanks for your help.

Since when I updated to 10.13.6 (and possibly .5 since i don't use usbs that often) my usb 3.0 drives don't work on usb 3.0 ports or hubs and work only if inserted slowly and get recognized as usb 2.0s in that case (480mb/s in sysinfo) and if i try to put my hackintosh to sleep the screen turns black for a second and then it takes me to the login screen instead of going to sleep, this usb issue happened to me on 10.13.2/3 too, is there a way to fix it ? Thank you

Hi there, I noticed that my system cannot sleep properly, so I run pmset.
Here are the results. The strange thing is that I got "sleep   0 (sleep prevented by mds)". What does it mean? Do you think that all other parameters are good to go?
Recently I managed to fix reboot on shutdown. Maybe its linked with that.

Quite the title I have chosen for this topic no?

I got my Hackintosh up and running since yesterday. I followed this topic
and used @MaLd0n 's CLOVER.zip files for kext installation and for the included SSDT's and DSDT. Massive thanks for that btw.

The only *slight* problem I still have is when I have XMP set to profile 1 in the Gigabyte BIOS, and I put my Hackintosh to sleep and I wake it up, I get the message that all USB drives were not ejected properly.

I really don't understand what's causing this problem. I currently have disabled XMP in the BIOS and the USB drives are not getting ejected when my Hack wakes from sleep.
I use 16GB of Corsair DDR4 Vengeance ram which goes up to 3000MHz. I have XMP profile in CLOVER set to 1. About this Mac reports that my RAM speed is 2998 Mhz. I have a separate SSD drive with Windows on it and I do not think it utilises the full MHz of the RAM because XMP is disabled.

Hopefully someone is able to help me.

      i7-8700k
      Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000Mhz RAM (16GB)
      Nvidia GTX 1080
      System def: iMac 18,3

I have my config.plist in the attached files. Hope this gives enough insight.
