hk93
On my machine (N53SV) there's no need to delete any kext and you shouldn't either. Also EvOReboot and nullcpu are not needed (you can use speedstepper or my patched bios http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283774-patched-bios-for-native-speedstep-on-asus-n53sv/ )

Also EvOReboot and nullcpu are not needed (you can use speedstepper or my patched bios http://www.insanelym...-on-asus-n53sv/ ) I added in my kext (driver) patched AppleCPUPowerManagement.kext , Who use ssdt , can change with this kext. Yeah we don't need EvOReboot but when I used EvOReboot , my system close faster and immediately so I choose using this kext. I deleted AppleHDA kext , because we are using VodooHDA.kext for sound , so we have a 2 option , 1- we can use AppleHDAdisabler.kext or 2- We can delete and replace with VodoooHDA.kext , I choose delete . How did you patched bios ? , my notebook , " Asus N53SN" have a different code name bios ; BIOS 209 1.Show system serial number on setup menu 2.Add CPU AES-NI function support 3.Update CPU microcode 4.Fix sometimes system can't boot after press power button. 5.Update EC firmware you can see here; http://uk.asus.com/N...N53SN/#download maybe you will patch last one and add here for us. Bios seems to same N53SV but I can't take this risk
eng_matt
Hello mac users ; Today I installed my mac osx again , and I changed my Extra files. Also with this dsdt , you can't get any kernel panic. And battery life increase , almost 3.5 hours. 3-org.chameleon.Boot changed. İf you have full hd screen issue you can use this files. Ok. with this extra folder , our system working great now. I added files Attachment also you can download here; http://www.mediafire.com/?5afbreadaaz8nj6 or; http://www.osx86.net/view/3330-asus_n53sn-n53sv-n53sm_notebooks_-_mount_...html Some new pictures: Asus-Extra-Files-2-No-Nvidia.zip

I will wait patched bios for N53SN Thanks for this. by the way my Processor: 2nd generation Intel Core i7-2630QM processor (2.0 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.9 GHz) please patch for this. If I used to disabled nvidia graphics card dsdt.aml , We don't need delete any graphics kext but , If we are try the use 2 of them at the same time , 2 graphics card cross , so I have to delete my 1. messages kext. I can't test it but it should work. I also changed the bios date so it will allow you to flash it (asus notebooks doesn't accept bioses with same or older date than current one) N53SNAS.zip

eng_matt
did it survive? Yeah I flashed , without any issue. But sometimes when I reboot my notebook , I have a kernel panic from cpu. Is this possible , I think my cpu fan work faster or placebo affect. When I look my cpu monitor , working 792Mhz x8.0 and 1980 Mhz with x20 , so I can't worked my ssdt. Which settings used with your org.chameleon.Boot.plist ? can you upload your files I want to try with them.
eng_matt
After flash bios now sometimes , I have this kernel panic issue. Look at picture; AppleRTC problem, I guess , If we can't fix this issue , can you reupload with fixed timezone , latest default N53SN bios. If we cant fix that , I want to return default bios settings. Something wrong
hk93
The patch I did doesn't touch anything related to the RTC. Did you patch RTC in the dsdt? We have the same CPU, and the modules which manages the cpu are the same both in my bios and yours. This is my boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Boot Banner</key> <string>No</string> <key>DropSSDT</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>Instant Menu</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist> if you still get this panic then you have something wrong in the dsdt or somewhere else. Double check everything because I'm running fine here

ambrosiomen
Hi!! First of all, thank you very much for all this information. I have a N53SM and I'd really like to have Mac OSX on it. Thanks to your guide I managed to install Mountain Lion 10.8.0 on my laptop, but I'm not able to update it to 10.8.2. What I did is to run the update just after getting the 10.8.0 version to work, I mean, just after the 10.8.0 installation (I didn't do the post-installation steps that you specified). What happened is that the update process went OK but when I restarted my computer and booted Mac OSX, the spinning wheel appears and after that my screen just displays garbage. It's using the Intel HD 3000 graphics card and I even replaced the kexts you mentioned after this update (I used the Terminal app from the Mountain Lion installer to do that) and tried with all your "Extra" folders but nothing changes. How and when do you do the update process? Thank you in advance

When you boot -v , look screen which kext have a kernel panic. You can pass this situation 2 ways. install 2 mac osx and edit kext manually S/L/E and delete my said kext. or if you have windows 7 already , find '' Macdrive 8 '' and install your windows. When I boot with -v or -x -v, I get a lot of text but after the "Ethernet lnx2mac_blah blah" line it goes to graphic mode but only displays garbage without showing a kernel panic before that. It's like when I set a bad screen resolution but that's not the case :S
