Random panics

I get random panics on 10.8/10.8.1. It says "com.apple.GeForce" but I can't find any solution to this? Any suggestions?

Only at boottime or within working?

Perhaps some prob because 2 GPUs installed? Normally that gpu type (9600GT, i have also) should not make problems.

I would try to remive one of them an test again.

You dont have any benefit of two GPUS using OS X - only OpenCL (near unused today) uses them both.

But non of the games (OpenGL) uses 2+ gpus in OS X!

While working, sometimes after several hours, sometimes days.

 

2 cards drive 4 monitors and never had problem with them before (Snow Leo or Lion) I use DSDT to make them work, not graphicsenabler nor any other injection..

 

I can't find any pattern why it panics randomly.

I am experiencing similar with random panics since installing ML. It does not seem to be related to any particular incident. Sometimes during bootup and sometimes while working. Never had this in Lion nor Sl previously.. Strange.

I never had random panics (gegorce kext related and others) running ML (10.8 - 10.8.2) with my single 9600 GT 512MB.

So it must be an different problem.

There are a couple of threads on Apple support forums, blaming random restarts (panics actually) on nvidia drivers. Hopefully it is not related to hacks and will be fixed on 10.8.2.
