treyhamilton25
I was just wondering if anyone has gotten any games to actually run on their Hackintosh. All mine crash before they start. Or I have to force quit them. I'm so lost. Gringo Vermelho
Yes, games work fine, no problems here. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281924-warcraft-and-other-games-not-working-on-hackintosh/#findComment-1845043 Share on other sites
treyhamilton25
Ugh, I'm still new to all this, so I guess I don't have my setting right or something. Hell I don't even have sound yet, and any big image, i.e. video thumbnail, ad, etc, are all flickery. Guess I still have kinks to work out. Warcraft crashes before it even starts. And emulators for games I DO own wont work. Something about PowerPCs are no longer supported? treyhamilton25
GxApi: GLL Shader Model: Unknown Vendor ID: 0x0000 Device ID: 0x0000 Device Name: (null) Driver Version: Video Memory: 0 MB AGP Memory: 0 MB Â This is one of the errors it gives me in the crash info. Gringo Vermelho
Your video card must be fully working (ie hardware accelerated OpenGL) in OS X for games (and lots of other stuff) to work. Â Intel GMA HD is a marketing name that covers many different models of Intel on board video. Some (like the 4500 HD) don't work in OS X at all and probably never will. What model do you have? treyhamilton25
I have looked everywhere. And the only thing it tells me is intel gma hd. Or, Intel HD Graphics Core i5. I can try to find the link to my specs if you want. Â Edit: HERE they are. Gringo Vermelho
It looks like the GMA model used on Arrandale CPUs like yours is the 5700, which is not supported on OS X. This means that you will not be able to play games. treyhamilton25
So I guess I'm better off on windows then? Â Also, where did you get that info from that page? Gringo Vermelho
I didn't. I found your CPU on the core i wiki, then googled which model is used on the Arrandale family Core i CPUs. treyhamilton25
Yea, I searched for a more in depth spec on it and seen. I'm so disappointed. So I'm guessing I'm not supported on any Mac os then? treyhamilton25
Well, my gf's Dell is Intel HD 3000. I've heard that is supported. Guess I'll play games on hers, and just use mine for projects and stuff.
