daz1uk
Hi, These forums are great for getting help on specific issues and I appreciate the efforts of the more experienced members for spending the time helping those of us that are a little less knowledgeable. However I would really like to get a better understanding of how our hackintoshes are working under the bonnet, can anyone point me to some use full resources for some late night reading please? MelloAndroid5123
Well, there's not really any set "Newb to pro" or "Hackintosh for dummies" sadly... I recommend just googling things and you eventually just kinda learn... For example, everytime I get "Still waiting for root device" I would type "rd=diskX" (where X is a number such as 0). So for your late night reading, just google something your interested in as far as hackintoshes... For example: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+update+snow+leopard+10.6.6+hackintosh+10.6.8 This will automaticaly search google for how to update your hackintosh from 10.6.6 to 10.6.8. Which you could read, and then learn how to update your hackintosh without a kernel panic (which is useful for people with AMD, like me ) I hope that helps, kinda hard to explain lol
