  1. Snow Leopard doesn't boot on AMD E350 Laptop

Disk utility if you have access to a Mac...
  2. Snow Leopard doesn't boot on AMD E350 Laptop

Alright this should work: -v cpus=1
  3. Snow Leopard doesn't boot on AMD E350 Laptop

Before you press enter to boot, try typing -v and then tell me what you get.
  4. Kexts, caches and all the other stuff.

Well, there's not really any set "Newb to pro" or "Hackintosh for dummies" sadly... I recommend just googling things and you eventually just kinda learn... For example, everytime I get "Still waiting for root device" I would type "rd=diskX" (where X is a number such as 0). So for your late night reading, just google something your interested in as far as hackintoshes... For example: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+update+snow+leopard+10.6.6+hackintosh+10.6.8 This will automaticaly search google for how to update your hackintosh from 10.6.6 to 10.6.8. Which you could read, and then learn how to update your hackintosh without a kernel panic (which is useful for people with AMD, like me ) I hope that helps, kinda hard to explain lol
  5. No Hardware Acceleration EVGA nVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1024 GB 10.6.x

Oh, thank you I heard something about a beta legacy kernel so I'll try that out. I think this card is just highly unsupported sadly :/ Thank you for helping me get things straight
  6. Still Waiting For Root Device

When your booting, type -v rd=disk0 at the chameleon prompt. It worked for me, hopefully it works for you too
  7. Problem after instalation iDeneb, help

I recommend retail install because it's more legal and less patches and unnecessary nonsense, just a recommendation ... But to fix your actual issue, after all of the other kernel flags you typed, type rd=disk0 or rd=disk1 if the first one doesn't work.. Hope that helps
  8. The real story of Mac OS X on Intel?

Is this a true story? If so that's pretty cool. He probably got fired for violating his own EULA though lol.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if anyone knows how to get hardware acceleration working on an EVGA nVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1024 GB. I've tried the tonymacx86 nVIDIA update, an EFI string, and the official nVIDIA CUDA driver. I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.5 but I can upgrade to any version. I'm only on 10.6.5 because of the tonymacx86 update. I'm pretty sure I don't have hardware acceleration because I can't change my screen resolution, and certain animations like clicking the Application folder are slugish. I have an AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.2 GHz, and 8 Gigabytes of RAM. I'm really hoping this can be fixed as it's the only thing not working Thanks in advance
