BiTRiP
Hi, I want to buy a new graphic-card tommorow. After reading many threads I'm totally confused now. If i'm right the Asus EAX1600XT SILENT is fully working but unfortunally not on stock at the store I go to. I also read that the X1800 is working. Is that even better then the X1600? And if I go for the X1800 wich exact type would do for FULLY support in OSX (DVI, QE/CI, SLEEP etc) Otherwise, wich other SILENT x1600 will work? How about the GigaByte X1600PRO SilentPipe 2? I hope to hear some good reactions/experiences here. thanks. wondergod
I have a Sapphire x1600pro 256 Crossfire Ed. and it works with borisbadenov installer. Sleep doesn't work and I have to use vga output to get 1440x900 res but qe,ci,q2d, and 3d works... zedzed
I bought Asus EAX1600XT SILENT from FrontierPC.com I guess I have the v3 video card. QE/CI work but I can't change resolution. Also have mouse artifacts as well. With the Asus silent card it seems to be a crapshoot as to what card you get. and whether it will work. It is not THE card to get as some people here have commented.
