dark.developer
Hey folks, I want to make my dock more productive is there any way, methods or tweaks to make it more productive instead of replacing the usual dock with software or so..... Tried the "Dragthing" software but it is making the desktop more clumsy. Any other suggestions plz post!!!! Thanks, Bye. dark.developer
Hey KIKO, I cant understand why are u being so rude for no reason (or is there some..... The tell me I would surely try to imaprove and not to do it again). It's okay I have not read the rules and regulations: MY FAULT!!! But being a MOD u can help others to realize their mistake instead of being so HOSTILE. Anyways I used the font and color as most of my posts carry the same font and color! Finally, please do reply me or else I will think that u didn't forgive me for my mistake (which i surely didn't know). If no one like those "COLORS" or "FONTS" or "SIZES" why not struck them off from the menu (just a kind suggestion, so that someone like me wont had to suffer without any reason. Thanks in advance for your reply, Bye..... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/28073-docking-the-dock/#findComment-192013 Share on other sites
wondergod
what was that you said...couldn't hear you...your font is TOO LOUD! oh man...couldn't resist... as for the dock...i personally think its pretty productive the way it is...if you want to change it you can install this mod called windows xp and it'll give you a modification of the dock with a start button and some "quick launch" thing-a-ma-jig...but that requires some hacking knowledge cuz I heard the windows xp hack will cause your pc to freeze. wesley
The font/colour options are there to be used sparingly. It shouldn't be used to create those 'loud' posts. You're the one asking for help, so you should first ask, well, politely. This forum being voluntarily run, others are not obligated to answer any of your questions. Why decrease the chances of getting answers? After all, it's your loss. Now, here's an interesting thing to try. Drag the Applications folder into the dock. When you click-and-hold the folder in the dock, what do you see? Timyang
The dock is divided into two parts, the left part holds shortcuts to apps, the right part hold trashcan and shortcut to any file/folder you drop there (and minimized windows too). So you drop Application folder on the right part, right click it to use it like Start menu in windows. Note that the shortcuts on Dock are only proxies, not actual alias, if you drag them off normally they disapear with a "puff". Rammjet
You told me to drag the "Applications" folder on to the dock, but I think its not coming on to the dock or I am not able to do so. Can u tell me the proper way to do so!!! There is a divider line in the Dock near the Trash can. Applications go to the left of the line. Documents and folders go to the right of the line.
