Randomly, my keyboard and trackpad just stop working, and then I got to do a reboot to fix the issue. It's a problem that has plagued me since I've had this laptop (same one as you) I've seen it written up that interrupt requests are to blame and that certain versions of AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext or ApplsPS2Controller.kext will fix this...
