Gringo Vermelho
Verify that there is a driver available for the on-board LAN (and Wi-Fi if it has that) and that AppleHDA can be patched for the on-board audio - or check compatibility with VoodooHDA, on some devices not all I/O can be supported etc. Having a driver loaded for the on-board, wired LAN is very important for compatibility, even if you're not going to use it. Many apps for OS X will use the MAC address of the primary on-board wired LAN device for registration purposes and machine identification. You will need this for iCloud and the App Store as well. TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
hi5 on the case selection I have a white Phantom as well. For the most part you should be fine with that giga mobo as they always seem the most widely supported mobos when hackintoshing. If you do intend to go down the z77 route do keep in mind that there will be more issues to run into since it's the current bleeding edge chipset out everything might not work just yet.
