Blah101
I used ##### to setup my computer, and I use a PS/2 keyboard on lion. However, when I boot I need to unplug and replug my keyboard for it to be recognized once I get to the login screen. Can someone tell me how to fix this? I really don't want to have to do this every time I boot up. rlf
I don't know what you have tried, nor do I know if this will work, but I'm suggesting you try and install the 1st two files from here: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=1107 Don't bother with the Trackpad Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/278534-ps2-needs-to-be-unplugged-and-replugged-to-work/#findComment-1816676 Share on other sites
Blah101
I don't know what you have tried, nor do I know if this will work, but I'm suggesting you try and install the 1st two files from here: http://www.osx86.net...do=file&id=1107 Don't bother with the Trackpad That didn't work. However, I searched a little more, tried a few different kexts. None of the were working. Then I decided to look inside the kexts themselves because I had this issue once before, but I forgot how I solved it. I finally remembered. In the ApplePS2Controller.kext there is a PS2Trackpad.kext that loads. I had to delete that from within the kext to have my keyboard work on boot. Thanks! davidm71
It took a dsdt edit to fix that ps/2 keyboard issue for my build along with a ps2 kext. Since moving to usb keyboard its a non-issue.
