Foxic
You need to start off with a 10.6.3 Snow Leopard retail disk and Nawcoms ModCD. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277730-help-me-please/#findComment-1810482 Share on other sites
Acro_Design
firstly you will need an instalation method, i highly recomend using newcoms mod cd as it installs the basic drivers (known as kexts in osx) at the same time and uses auto detection so you dont need to do as much. i recomend you buy a retail version of osx 10.6.x or snow leopard as its known. this combined with the mod cd should make your life a bit easier. once you have booted into the installer post again and i will get back to you. also google has the basics. Acro_Design
ok so you will need to buy a retail snow leopard disk from ebay as apple store do not sell them anymore. i do not use distros personally and cannot guide you with a distro. when the mod cd boots up you will then eject the disk and insert the retail snow leopard disk. then press f5 to refresh. you will then select the osx install disk when it appers. follow the instructions on screen (press any key) this will now boot into osx installer. before pressing continue to instal you must use disk utility in the installer menu to create a partition this should be HFS+ journaled and you could name it OSX, now close the disk utility that should allow you to select a disk to install. now continue to install. this takes around 30mins and you must keep moving the mouse every 5 mins or it will stall, stalling makes it take longer. now it will reboot itself. if you get a KP then -v at the bootloader menu to see the error and begin the research. i can assist you when you are at that stage. unfortunately AMD cannot run lion at all at the moment. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277730-help-me-please/#findComment-1810512 Share on other sites
