EvilMacMongo
Ok it seems like there is a ghost hiding in my HDD that doesn't like to boot. Background: only boots from modcd (the new one) must use modbin_kernel. ok so I copied the preboot.dmg contents over to the hdd and I am able to get everything to load EXACTLY (from what I can tell while watching) on the HDD as when I boot from the cd. Here's the part I don't get: when booting from the modcd I see the last line in photo, then it loads a blue screen for about 2 seconds, then it loads the mac desktop. When I boot fromt he HDD it just stops on this last line. So why will it load the desktop from the cd, but stick in this spot on the HDD?
John K.
Hi EvilMacMongo, have you tried running with only booting with Mac HD attached? Method 2 if booting from Mac HD only didn't work, copy folder Extra (from CD) to you root drive.
