Hi, I've just bought myself a pre built hackintosh everything was going well until this morning. I was told to hold down the power button and resart after doing so I got to the grey apple loading screen and progress bar appeared and got about half way and powered down.

Anyway this happend about 20 time so far so I booted into single user ran fdisk and it came back with the following :

** Checking extended attributes file.

Invalid node structures (8,81)

** The voloume Macintosh HD could not be verified completely

/dev/rdisk02x (hfs) Exited with signal 8

Am I correct in thinking this is now corrupt and a clean install is now required!? I've got lion 10.7.2 installed at the moment but thinking about going back to snow leopard as I'm not a Lion fan at all.

Thanks in advance

Gerry
